Magpul Enhanced AR Magazine Release

It's a simple product and it's from Magpul. The "but" is a big concern. My reasoning is the rib fences on an AR lower protect your mag release and the extended releases negate this. Your mag release is now easier to get to but it's also easier to bump and inadvertently drop your magazine.
On a range plinker or run-n-gun gamer rifle it'd be just fine. On a duty gun, I've got cause for pause here. It's not an indictment, there's obviously a call for this type of equipment otherwise there wouldn't be so many. If they could get the button flush, to just below flush would be ideal, with the rib fences then I'd change my mind. As it is with a couple different mag catches it's just not happening.
Bottomline, think about how you're going to use your rifle. If you intend to have a duty rifle, I'd wave off on this one. Anything else, have at it!

Great extended mag release. Best one that I have used. Works great with Troy ambi mag release too. Great for shorter fingers or disabled shooters. Excellent ergonomics, easier and quicker to access. This is one of those parts that will be on all my builds. Another winner from Magpul.

Will not work with kns anti rotation pins

Awesome and yes, it works with KNS pins! I have this release with KNS pins with NO issues.

Terrific Magpul product, however, I had to return it and am posting so others dont run into the issue I did. This will not clear the magazine release fence on the billet Mega Arms Ambi lower reciever. That reciever has very tight clearance between the bottom of the fence under the ambi bolt release and the magazine release hole. Just enough clearance for a stock mag release button. The Magpul product has just a small overlap at the top and bottom, making it larger in "height" than a stock release button. This contacts the fence on the Mega lower reciever rendering un-installable. Make sure you have adequate clearance around all sides of the mag button if you want to try this product.

Great product; just what I needed for my smaller hands, without having too much flair or a hole in the middle. Looks great and is functional. However, it wiggles about one-hundred-fiftieth of an inch in either direction in my Aero Precision M4E1 lower. Not a deal breaker by any means, nor does it impact functionality. I expect the loose tolerance is on Aero's side. I'm considering adding a layer of electrical tape to tighten up the tolerances.

In the gun world not a lot of things are favorable to left handed shooters, this part is. Every penny is precious to me so I cannot afford to make mistakes buying add-ons that may or may not work great and do not break the bank. I have half a dozen "Keeper rifles" and it goes on all of them. Quality control for me is 6 for 6 so far, all installed without a problem. So if God blessed you with Lefthandedidis, I strongly recommend these. Your mileage may vary, keep your powder dry and have fun, we are members of a club that puts a smile on my face every chance I get.

Replacement threaded mag release section which sits in lower reciever is much smaller than milspec and wobbles excessively in my BCM lower reciever.
