These new Micro sights have been in development at Spike's Tactical for a very long time now. We've done lots of testing on them and we've found that these sights are very durable and extremely light weight, in fact they are currently the lightest weight back up iron sights on the market. These sights are also very compact and very low profile. They have a lifetime warranty and they are also 100% Made in the USA. The aluminum parts (bases and uprights) are CNC machined from 7075-T6 Billet with a Black Type III Hard Anodize finish. The steel parts (small parts) are CNC machined from 4140 Chromoly Billet with a Black Nitride finish. The main cross bolts are CNC machined from 6AL4V Titanium with a Hard Anodized Grey finish. They utilize a T25 Torx Plus (or T25 IP) head. The correct T25 Torx plus wrench which is included. The bases have a stainless steel locking thread inserts to eliminate the risk of them loosening up over time. The Titanium cross bolts are also hollow so the operator could safety wire them in place if they felt the need. Both the front and rear sights are completely adjustable without the use of any tools. The front is adjustable for elevation while the rear is adjustable for both windage and elevation. The rear elevation adjustment has quick setting for 100, 200, 300, 400, 500, and 600 Meters. The adjustment drum is labeled 1-6. The rear sight has a remove able aperture for CQB use. Each sight is laser engraved with Spike's Tactical across the front and Made in USA on the bottom lug. The sight adjustment markings are all Milled into place.

great light weight sights March 23, 2015
Reviewer: J Vest from CA United States
functions well as back up sight, up locking position could be a bit more secure, will come down if pushed through heavy brush or hit, but does stay up while firing. probably cant ask for more considering how light they are. tool free adjustment is nice. DO NOT OVER TIGHTEN. snapped the titanium cross bolt on one. spikes has great warranty tho and replaced it free of charge. there's no directions included, but spikes rep told me no more then 26in/lb when tightening. it is normal to feel SOME resistance when tightening down, it was designed as such. i tightened using the short end of an allen key in my hand and the long end inside the bolt head, helps limit yourself from going to far)

great price for an expensive piece March 2, 2015

The price is very acceptable for what you get, which is the same quality as my magpul pro rear sight for about 30-40 dollars less.

Meh, not very well thought out. July 21, 2014
Reviewer: Slimthelineman from IBEW
Like the size and materials, construction is top notch! But the fact that is doesn't lock in the up position is lame. Then there is the fact that the sight is designed backwards. The windage marks and elevation dial markings are on the front of the sight, impossible to see from a shooting position. Would not be as big of a deal if it locked into place, as recoil would not be able to flip it down. Four stars for construction and price, but FAIL in the function of being an elevation adjustable sight. Maybe once I get to go out and use it it will grow on me. Guess I can always count the clicks when adjusting for elevation.
