I’ve gone through two of these uppers now and I’m calling it quits. The first one was horrible with failure to eject/extract malfunctions due to what I believe and researched as being a gas issue. Most likely undergassed. Exchanged it for a new one (Primary Arms’ customer service is top notch btw) and while it is smoother and ran better than the old, I still had 4 of the same issues in ~50 rounds I shot through it. I’m cutting my losses. Do your research on Radical Firearms’ QC and you’ll find it wasn’t good a couple years ago and it still isn’t it appears. Wish I would’ve before I bought it. You may get a perfectly functional one or a lemon.
So far so good. After 200 rounds no problems or warnings

The key-mod are placed in reverse/backwards. I believe this was done to aid in attachment not being able to be knocked off. There are no sharp edges, but there can be a little bite to the hand guard. The picatinny rail has the usual sharp edges. There are key-mod holes along the entire sides and bottom of hand guards, less the picatinny sections.
The gas system appears to be sturdy and completely serviceable. After 200 rounds, no short stroking, no failures to feed. I see very small amounts of carbon deposits, no more than what I have seen with other quality gas systems.
I would say it is over gassed (as most ARs) by the brass ejection pattern. Using S&B and AE eagle 110gr FMJ, I am seeing 2 o’clock ejections.
The price has come down, I hope this is due to usual reasons. I cannot find reviews for this upper anywhere. I hope this one helps.
I stripped a barrel screw by using the wrong allen wrench. E-mailed CS and within 24 hours they mailed out replacement screws free of charge!
Bargain price for quality upper Part 1 of 2

If this barrel is made up of and surface treated as stated in the description, then this upper is a STEAL at either price I list above. 4150 steel, MELONITE treated, 1:11 twist, mid-length gas system, free float barrel...are you kidding? These are ideal specs. Melonite/salt nitride is without question has better corrosion control, does not add material to the barrel, only treats existing materials, and is very hard.
Better than chrome (do not know why higher end uppers till use chrome).
The hand guards hybrid has picatinny where you need: full rail at top, 3" sections placed where light and sling can be attached (end of guard, both sides). There is a 5" picatinny section from muzzle end, bottom of the hand guard.
