Radical Firearms 24" 6.5 Grendel Type II 1:9 Rifle Length Medium Complete Upper - 15" KeyMod FHR Rail
The Radical Hybrid Rail System offers lightening cuts along the rail reduce weight and aid in rapid cooling while KeyMod and Picatinny mounting points provide space for your favorite accessories. Features anti-rotation tabs, non-rotating QD sling mounts, and a tough hardcoat anodized finish.
NOTE: This upper receiver features a Type II 6.5 Grendel chamber with a .136" deep bolt face.
Safety Note: Choosing 6.5 Grendel comes with an added complication. There are “Type I” and “Type II” bolt/barrel specifications out there, and you CAN NOT mix and match parts for each of them without risk of damage and/or injury. Type II is by far the most popular configuration, but pay attention to what you are buying! A Type I bolt won’t chamber rounds in a Type II barrel at all. Even worse, a Type II bolt mated to a Type I barrel will create excessive headspace and result in a rifle that is dangerous to fire.

Love it. Dropped it on one of my lowers and warmed it up I had no troubles and it never skipped a beat . Definitely worth it.

I ordered this to replace my 223 varmint upper Wich shoots .3" @ 100.
I ordered some 100 grain and some Hornady 123 eld. I used both types of ammo at the range on a day with 20mph gusts. The group was .5" with Hornady and 1" with the 100 grain. I look forward to reloading this and tuning it. I think it will match the accuracy of my varmint upper.
Great value and fun to shoot, accurate and can't beat the price

First of all, I love this upper. Extremely accurate. I did however have some issues when I first received it. However, Radical Firearms took care of the problem. Another complaint was that my bolt wasn't stamp MP. Other than that great upper.
Long range nail driver
Absolutely fabulous! I use Stoner mags with followers specifically set for 6.5 Grendel, no issues, no jams, no problems. First time out I had three sets of slightly oblong holes where three rounds wiggled through the same hole at 50 yards..... several times repeated. No complaints, other than I don't like the pepperpot stle brake as it kicks up LOTS of dirt when on the ground prone bi-pod supported. Will change to side ported brake only.
Great upper that shoots fantastic!
I've had mine for some time now, 5/8 group at 100. Great shooter. Use alexander mags (pre-tuned from them) without issue. Tons of fun and no complaints.
This thing is bitchin. GREAT DEAL!
Have about 300 rounds thru mine. Flawless! Have become my absolute favorite firearm.
Good stuff, mounted it to a Anderson lower. Cycles both brass & steel ammo fine. Sub MOA group. Two thumbs up from me
Great looking barrel/handguard, poor quality receiver
First off, thanks to Primary Arms for the fast processing/shipping and excellent service as always. Just got my upper the other day, pinned it my DSA lower which shares a 50 Beowulf and a Radical firearms 7.62x39 upper with no problems. I found this thing has way too much play between the upper and lower,up down and side to side. The dust cover will not close without wiggling it back and forth and you can see where the detent is gouging the receiver. I shimmed up the upper/lower creating a massive gap between the two. The barrel , flash hider and free float hand guard look really nice. The bore looks good, no bad machine marks/chatter that I've heard others complaining about. The receiver itself seems to be cheap junk. I will be replacing it with a higher quality one and installing a enhanced firing pin and extractor spring to run the cheap wolf ammo as well. I'll update this review once I get some rounds through it.
Looks great, fits great but jamms bad! Tried Hornady amax and sst, fired 10 shots, every single shell stuck in chamber, bcg open...Had to knock them out with a cleaning rod!
