Ratings & Reviews
If you had told me that cleaning my BCG completely would consist of wiping it with a dry shop rag, I would have laughed at you. Now I know it's true! Carbon, copper, whatever is on that BCG is just going to wipe right off. I thought this part was just bragging rights for cool kids or operators who operate, but nope - this stuff is the ticket even for medium speed medium drag guys too. Stop thinking and buy this!
Fail a lot

Not impressed, IMO it is what is making my AR unreliable. I'm going to swap out with a DD BCG to validate. I was also contacted about a recall because of the timing of when I bought, not a warm-fuzzy they are spitting out a product with such low QC that a recall on gas key staking has to go out. I was enticed with the gucci coating and description but your probably better off getting an entry level 'regular' BCG as far as reliable operation goes.
Staking and fit and finish is perfect

Just got my FAIL ZERO BCG In today I ordered this past Saturday And got it in Wednesday Fast shipping I just look over the BCG went through it took it apart and everything is done beautiful me the finish is smooth and nice there are no tooling marks on it the gas key As a beautiful staking Fit and finish is also Will do Another review after this weekend when I test it out But so far I am very happy and everything seems to be great I will be buying a another one
PA shipped very fast as usual. However,my bcg needed to be restaked and the gas key bolts weren't even tight when it arrived. I sent it back for repairs, got it back quickly from the coating company. It has ran well but has about 2000 rounds through it and already needs new gas rings. Decent bcg if you're on budget, but I'd eat ramen for a few weeks to save up the money and get something better.
Slick And Smooth Cycling

I don't like giving perfect scores but this glassy smooth BCG earned it. Very slick and classy looking too. Cycles so smooth with my JP tuned and polished spring.

Piece of junk. Couldn't fire 5 rounds w/o a failure to seat, failure to eject, or failure to fire. I have approx 700 rounds thru the gun and never had an issue until I put in this bcg. Warrantied it thru failzero, new bcg is no better. This one is failure to eject or failure to fire. I called failzero and was told I need to talk to the store I bought it from. Primary Arms has always been great with customer service. I'll never buy another failzero product again.

Not one issue with this BCG, took it right out of the box, into my rifle, and put 200 rounds down range with no hiccups at all, pulled it out, cleaned and lubed it and did 200 more rounds with same results. I may pick up 3 more for other rifles I have laying around. For the price, you really can't beat it!
Not bad for the price
300 Rounds through and I have had zero functioning issues. Only problem was I already had to replace the gas rings. Honestly I didn't check the rings when I took it out of the packaging but other than that, it has performed really well. Zero issues with coating and zero issues with excessive wear so far. I would buy another fail zero bcg.

Great BCG but a little overpriced. Overall works nicely.

It works fine. But I had high hopes for this bolt. I just got it a few days ago and I'm not impressed with it the gas key has dents around the opening and the bolt coating doesn't look like the pictures at all. Even the fail zero letters are coming off.

Bought two of these when they went in sale and I am extremely disappointed. There were machine marks down the side of one carrier and gouges on the edge of the gas key on another. The BCG also leaks gas resulting in inconsistent cycling/short cycling with no random casing ejection. Until Fail Zero can prove they have gotten their stuff together then I will never buy another. Just because they have the patent for the EXO coating obviously doesn't mean that their products are quality. I will be trying to get this back on a warranty. Hopefully their warranty is better than their product.
Nice BCG and good deal

I order this 2 BCG yesterday and they shipped already. I just wonder if it work to My AR 15 Stag arm and it for M16 . I live in California that don't allow full auto . I got a good deal with free Anderson 16' Barrel . I just want to know it it works and no problem at all.
Impressed after a few more rounds
Took to the range first time and the BCG jammed. Had to hammer it out. Took it home cleaned oiled and strated to keep charging the BCG. Took it again to the range and it performed great. As I read some reviews they are right that upper receivers tend to jam since its too tight. The BCG itself is very smooth. Would buy it again to replace a stock bcg.
Love the bolt carrier!
It's really smooth shooting along with a David tubb flat wire spring. Great awesome product a must have!
I bought the BCG after hearing mixed reviews about Fail Zero with big hopes. Primary Arms was having a sale on them and it seemed like a great price for a non-flashy Ni-B BCG. Straight out of the box I liked the feel and look of it. Very attractive even finish. Very smooth surface with no blemishes. So since I was still piecing together one gun I figured I could drop it into my Colt and give it a shot--- literally. I put out a target and in less that 10 minutes I dumped 330 rounds down range. I put the carrier in dry with a dry upper and not one time did it fail slow down or get jammed by any means. I pulled it out trashed with carbon and gave it a clean. It looked brand new again. So I found the BCG to go above expectations and will probably buy another in the future.
FailZero EXO Coated M16
Dropped in BCM 16". Nope didn't check headspace beforehand. 200+ rounds on initial outing which were also the first rounds through the rifle. Consistent ejection about 5 o'clock position in a pile about 6 feet away. Light carbon accumulation cleans off with a rag. Caked on carbon comes off easily with Real Avid AR15 scraping tool (Amazon). The bolt/carrier will stain a little however easily polishes off with minimal amount of FLITZ on a barrel patch and wipe with a clean rag. 2 drops of MP Pro7 and spread around the surface until no excess and ready to go. The finish is not as slick/shiny as the Spikes Tactical (I have both) however it cleans just as easily and functions with no discernible difference with my use. Great deal from Primary Arms with fast shipping in original packaging.
Fast shipping. Bcg is excellent.very smooth. Headspace checked out good with my barrels. .very happy with primary arms
Failzero exo BCG
I ordered this when it was on sale for $99. What an amazing deal! It came in a couple days. Finish is amazing. Can't wait to try it.
FailZero EXO Coated M16 Cut Complete Bolt Carrier Group
I have purchased 2 of these from Primary Arms at seperate times both are fantastic. First one came in the FZ box the second was in a clamshell package. Both work great have no problems with either BCG. These are probably some of the finest BCG's made slick even in an upper with no dry film lube they seem to show a lot less wear on the inside of the upper receiver. Thanks Primary Arms for great Customer service and fast shipping.
Get it @ $99
This is without a doubt the best BCG on the market especially at $99. It is slicker and harder by orders of magnitude than a plain NiB BCG and those are very good. I've run plain premium NiB and Melonite/Nitride BCG's and this is the smoothest by far.
First off Im very impressed with how fast primary arms shipped my order. Will def be doing my shopping here. As for the bcg well its a failzero. Bcg came lightly lubed and it was just super smooth and slick. Took it apart and wiped everyhing down And lightly relubed it.. Cant wait to take it to the range.

Purchased 2 FZ BCGs. 250 reds later all is well. As said before at first I thought it was fouled and almost sticky feeling. After running it as described I have had no FTF or FTE. Will buy again for my future builds. PA service is unmatched.
Best Bolt Carrier Group on the Market.

I have a total of 5 assorted AR- 15 Pistols in 223-5.56 and 300 Blackout all are using Fail Zero Bolts and JP Captured Springs. and to mention 24inch 5.56 18inch 5.56 and 2 16inch 300 Blackout and 10 inch 300 Black all using Fail Zero NIB Bolts and JP Captured Recoil Springs and have not had and issue at all whatsoever! Super fast shipping From Primary Arms and of course the best price and service you will find ANYWHERE PERIOD!
If the bolt jams it's the upper and not the bolt
The BCG runs well depending on the upper. A smooth or broken in upper will run this BCG flawlessly in a new upper with slight roughness on the inside will cause jams like the 2 negative reviews noted.
by One piece at a time.
I have another brand of Nickle boron bolt and carrier. This is a much better made and polished bolt. It is easy to tell this is a quality piece of equipment. I haven't tried it yet but if it works as good as it looks I'll order another for my daughters AR. The price was right on this piece.
