Real nice brake
by Jason -
Really nice brake. It is a bit on the large side, and a little heavy, but very nicely machines and works well.
Awesome break.

This break is awesome. I slapped it on a Thompson Center bolt action rifle in 308. It reduced recoil substantially. I have no numbers of graphic to show, but I would say the recoil feels about 40% lighter. The break itself is a little large and heavy, but looks fantastic. One note. No matter how hard I tried, I couldn't get it to sit right side up when torqueing it with a crush washer. I had to buy a jam nut to time it and align it correctly. Maybe it was me, but I've read similar complaints on several forums. Something to consider. I'm sure PA has jam nuts available. Fortis makes great stuff.
Excellent Brake

Installed this on a Faxon AR 7.62x39 16" barrel using a Precision Armament Accu-Washer and another thin 5/8-24 washer to set pre-torque timing at 11:00. Used Logix Thread-Smart to lightly coat the barrel threads before properly torqueing with the upper in a vise with leather pads on the barrel pressure points. Proper alignment is with the Fortis logo on both side of the brake right side up.
Recoil and muzzle flip were negligible using a variety of Wolf Steel case and then Russian Golden Tiger to zero the Sig Romeo5 RDS. This was in an indoor range with no discernable flame.
Very impressed with this brake.
