Hexmag 10/30 10-Round AR-15 Magazine - Series 2 - ODG

First and foremost are the feed lip cut outs at the top of the mag, with a shallower sloped cut from feed lip to the front edge of magazine, the follower sits lower in the mag body, thus eliminating the notorious inability to insert a fully loaded mag on a closed bolt, with a firm insertion you can feel and hear the mag catch seating firmly into the deeper notch of the series 2 on a closed bolt.
2) Deeper mag catch cutout w/ramp.
3) Stripper clip groove addition is a plus.
4) Deeper hexagonal pattern for improved grip & tape application.
All this made for an improved insertion and extraction of magazines with reliable feeding of rounds in my AR at the range.
This is an example of somebody at Hexmag putting on their "thinking cap" and improving an already proven magazine into a better one. This is now my #1 magazine over that other Colorado based magazine company. Thank You. JD590.

The HexMag loads extremely easy, whether using a speed loader or loading traditionally. The mags are definitely lightweight, but built tough. Have dropped full mags on several occasions and have not damaged a single mag once. The texture on the Mag body helps to secure a firm grip on the Mag ~ Very tactile! Both the follower and spring function flawlessly. No issues with rounds moving or tilting up or down in Magazine, due to crappy springs or cheap followers! No FTF’s experienced as of yet! Rounds feed and strip with no problems or issues. It does exactly what I bought it for ~ “Feeds the Beast!” Plus, the price, whether on sale or not, can’t be beat. Overall, the 10/30 HexMag is a very Reliable, Lightweight, and Expensive product!
