The ACSS Predator Hunting reticle was designed with coyote and hog hunters in mind. With auto-ranging based on a 10" circle, the Predator allows for incredible speed when ranging and engaging coyotes, pigs, and other similar sized animals. Once ranged, the shot can be taken instantly as you already have the correct holdover. The center chevron can be illuminated red or green for maximum flexibility in a variety of situations.
Illumination is provided by a single (included) CR2032 battery, and a spare battery is included inside the windage turret cap. A total of 10 settings take the reticle all the way up to daylight bright in your choice of green or red to suit your needs on the fly. All lenses are fully multicoated for maximum light transmission and the 6063 aluminum body is Type II hard anodized in matte black.

Outstanding

Having a marine corps sniper background, Ive been exposed to some of the best optics in the world. With that being said, I can't help but be impressed with the primary arms optics and the ACSS system. This scope bullet compensation is dead on and the glass is not as bad as you would think. The turrets are both audible and tactile and are capped which is good for this system since you will not be spinning to engage targets. Primary Arms is doing a lot of things right and now that their gen 3 optics are guaranteed they are hard to beat for the price point.
Simple, fast, deadly

This reticle is fantastic. Coyotes can be tough for me to judge distance and this reticle takes all the work out of it, simple and fast. Just fit the coyote in the ring of death and BOOM, dog down. I’ve shot a lot of coyotes but with this reticle I’ve been increasing my percentage of kills to misses exponentially. If you’ve ever even remotely thought of getting this optic my advice is DO IT! You won’t be disappointed.

I'm totally new to the ar 15 world and got the primary arms 1-6 acss predator. My main purpose is to hunt coyotes. This scope was dialed in to match up with the hornady 223 55 grain vmax at 2850 fps. I couldn't find any of that ammo. All I could find was the Winchester 223 55 grain fmj at 3240 fps. So I took it out to zero it in at a 100 yards and got it dialed in tight. We then decided to skip 200 yards and go out to 300 yards. We hit dead on at 300 yards. Took it out to 400 yards and had to use the windage lines to correct for the 5 mph wind. We hit dead on. At this point I was seriously excited. Took it out to 500 yards and I hit prefect using the windage line. My son took a shot also at 500 yards and hit first try and never shot past 200 yards before. We were using a plastic table and a pillow for a rest lol. This is how easy this scope is. It makes it to where anyone can shoot long range with ease. We are buying 2 more scopes. Don't hesitate on buying this scope.

I really wanted to like this combo(watch sootch review)but my stigmatysm would not allow for a clear sight picture.-have to move to 1×8 or 1×10,but for the money very good scope and ring set

I've only used this scope 1 time at the range, for sighting in and testing some ammo, but so far I am very pleased with this scope. The glass is clear and the turrets move the point of impact correctly. I'm looking forward to hunting some coyotes with this scope. The scope is very light and I like the illuminated chevron.

Great optic. Great glass, smooth magnification, one of my favorite optics. Wish it had a built in throw lever but it's cheap to buy one separate.
Good Optic

The reason I gave this four stars is, I also used my new ACSS NOVA (1-6x) on my other rifle on the same range visit. This is a good performing optic, I am very satisfied with it, but to be honest it is not on par with the NOVA reticule.
Had I only taken this scope to the range today, I probably would have given it five.
The red/green showed up well (especially the red) in daylight, but I mainly used the scope without illumination.
Everything functioned as advertised, I would defiantly recommend it.
