The Primary Arms Gen III 3X Compact Prism Scope with the improved ACSS-5.56-CQB-M2 reticle is the lightweight, do-everything scope you've been looking for. The low 3X magnification and bright illuminated reticle allow for fast, both-eyes-open shooting at close range, while the ACSS CQB reticle allows for easy hits on targets out to an impressive 600 yards. The Gen III scope has been equipped with the next generation ruggedized mounts to provide flexible mounting options with incredible clamping power.

Features:
  • New Ruggedized Mount provides exceptional clamping power
  • Includes AR-height riser
  • ACSS 5.56 CQB-M2 chevron reticle has BDC and ranging out to 600 yards with 5.56 NATO, .223 Remington, 5.45x39mm, and .308 Winchester
  • Fully illuminated reticle is visible even in bright daylight
  • Removable M1913 picatinny top rail for accessories or piggy-backed red dot sights

  • Durable hardcoat anodized black finish
  • Compatible with standard carry handle mounts
  • Protected by a lifetime warranty

The heart of the tough Gen III 3X Prism Scope is the improved ACSS 5.56 CQB-M2 reticle that combines ranging, wind leads, moving target leads, and ballistic drop compensation out to 600 yards. The outer horseshoe of the glass etched reticle is used for close quarters engagement, simply place the generous semi-circle on the target and run with it! Each side of the horseshoe also has the integrated ranging system. Place the bottom of the target on the bottom rung and range up. If you know your targets are roughly 18 inches wide, they can be ranged on the side Auto Range system, or directly on the BDC hold overs! Two dots on either side of the precision chevron offer a moving target lead moving with an average speed of 8.6 MPH. Each step of the BDC system includes a 5 MPH wind hold, drastically improving first hit probability at any range. As an added bonus, the glass etched reticle does not require batteries or illumination, but 11 brightness settings (including daylight bright) allow for fast acquisition in close quarters, or enhanced visibility in fading light, powered by a common CR2032 battery!

The SLx 3X Gen III has even greater strength and flexibility than ever before with the next generation ruggedized mounting system. We’ve upgraded everything about the mount from materials and finish to the design to create a mount that will not just clamp securely to your rail, but stand up the rigors of real-world use. Integrated recoil lugs help lock your mount in place against the heaviest recoil while large diameter crossbolts give you significantly improved clamping power and will hold up to significant torque. The included riser is the perfect height for AR-15s and AR-10s, but can be easily removed for carry handle or AK use as well.

Great for people with crummy eyes

by

I have a super bad astigmatism and I've have had problems with sights not being crisp and clear. I'm going to start selling all of my other ones like my strikefires and purchasing these. This optic is amazing!

Excellent optic

by

This is a good optic with an amazing reticle. I’ve had everything from vortex to trijicon to elcan and this reticle beats them all. Dollar for dollar you won’t find a better fix power and variable power scope than Primary Arms.

Awesome!

I’ve been looking at getting this optic since the first Generation. Didn’t shoot my AR much so kept putting it off. I shouldn’t have waited so long. This optic is spectacular! Nice glass, clear reticle, and very well made. Sooooo worth the price.
I have mine paired with a 45 degree offset red dot for close up. It’s perfect.

Phenomenal All-Arounder

by

Construction is exceptionally solid and rugged. Very stable mounting hardware. Coming from a red dot with a rear aperture cowitness, eye-box/eye relief are well suited to my normal sighting posture, and only become limiting when shooting from odd positions. The reticle is terrific, of course, and the updated chevron is a functional improvement over the previous generation. The dimensions of the chevron are approximately 1.75 moa height x 2.25 width, which enabled really tight groups at 50-200 yds. Illumination is adequate to stand up to all but the brightest conditions, in which case (and pretty much every case, for me), the un-illuminated reticle is optimally crisp and useable. My only complaints are the illumination ring is rather stiff and its close proximity to the elevation turret prevents swift operation. Also, it would be nice to include the anti-reflective cap, which I regret not adding to my purchase. Still, it’s a 5 star product with a company that stands behind it 100%.

I Saw This Scope on You Tube Review by Soocth00...! Over A Year Ago, Listened to other reviews did my Research....& Primary Arms Was My Choice !

great scope

by

Super nice and the best bang for your buck. You can adjust the scope to your eye as far as astigmatism which is priceless. Highly recommended.

Worth more then the price!!!

After having used a RCO in the USMC for so long this really is to me personally in a way an upgrade. If feels tanky like the RCO did, and the reticle is outstanding. This is worth way more then the price put on it.

Great scope and reticle

by

This scope is great, especially for being under $300! I put it on my first AR (5.56) and had it zeroed at 100yd with 4 shots. After that, I was hitting steel targets up too 500 yd on the first shot using the reticle, and so did my friend who wanted to try it out. It’s also a solid build, especially on an aftermarket QD mount.

The only downside for me was that I couldn’t mount my MBUS behind it due to the eye relief, but that isn’t a big deal since the scope works with or without batteries. I just store the back up sights on the front of the receiver and I can put it back on if necessary.

Also great for anyone with astigmatism. I need a prism scope for this reason and the reticle is crystal clear. Of all the names in this price range, this is the best choice, especially with the reticle.

Highly recommended

by

The glass quality is excellent, the ACSS reticle is practical and uncluttered, turret adjustments are crisp and tactile, the illumination is truly daylight bright, and the unit seems very robust overall. As with all prism optics, the eye relief is a bit limited, especially if you run an AR with a fixed or fully extended stock and you don't shoot with your nose close to the charging handle. If you fall into that category, I highly recommend looking into the LaRue LT681 to bring the optic further back than the factory mount will allow. A fantastic optic at this price point.

Wow!

This is an absolutely amazing optic. Installed it on a ruger ar-556 pistol with 10.5" barrel. Right out of the box it just exudes quality. Installation was a breeze, sighting it in took about 5 clicks, then...I was tagging a steel target at 200yds on a hill with absolute ease.

The reticle. I was on the fence about this optic as some reviews I read stated the illumination was a little dim. If you are aiming directly into the sun, yes, you will have difficulty seeing anything. I had zero issue with using this optic with the illumination shut off. I have tested it running through the house at night on a setting of 5 and it is crisp, clear and really easy on the eyes.

I highly recommend this optic. I have shown it to a few people who instantly asked where I got it and how much lol I don't think you could go wrong with this optic and I give it my wholehearted approval. Just sucks that ammo prices has shot through the roof :)
