The Primary Arms 4-14x44 Front Focal Plane ORION features the patented ACSS Orion reticle that stays true through the scope’s entire magnification range of 4x through 14x. The ORION features quick ranging and wind holds calibrated for deer and coyote sized targets using .308, .223, and .30-06 chambered rifles. No math needed, no digging through the data book. A side mounted parallax adjust knob keeps the reticle parallax free and the target image sharp at extended ranges. This tough scope is shockproof, waterproof, and fog resistant, and comes with a lifetime warranty. This scope does NOT feature an illuminated reticle. Optional sun shade PA4-14SS sold separately.

Great scope

Exceptional clarity and ease of use. The bdc is spot on for 7.62x54R.

Wow

Expected a lot out of this scope after reading the reviews. It exceeded my expectations by a long shot! Great scope, and amazing service. Thanks again PA!

Clear Glass, easy to use BDC scope

mounted it up, laser sighted it in at 25 yards then took it to the range. Had it sighted in within 6 rounds and was hitting steel at 500 yes with my AR-10. Love the scope!

Great bang for your buck.

Great scope! Mounted on 300 win wag. Everyone that has taken shots with it says the same. Will be ordering a second for my .308.

Nice for Day Hunting, Not so good at Night

by

Scope zeroed in 2 shots at 100y. For some reason all my PA scopes/ Red Dots & have been dead center & 3” low without bore sighting at 100y. Awesome, IMO. I chose this scope because of the hunting I do on a daily basis. Coyotes & Hogs mainly. Only reason I’m not giving this scope 5 stars is because of “No Illuminated Reticle” & “No Lifetime Warranty”. PA advertises this to be one of its most proven & toughest scopes. Why not the lifetime warranty? For late evening & early morning hunts it is extremely hard, if at all to make out the reticle & ranging lines. Night hunting with a red light is almost impossible. This would be the #1 scope for hunting coyotes & hogs if reticle was illuminated, because those animals run at night. This is it’s main down fall. All in all? It does very well during daylight hrs. I had issues with my 1x6 & PA was happy to swap it out for the 4-14 Orion. Mellisa in Customer Service was top notch & very helpful. Thanks Guys!

I highly suggest this optic for hunters.

Great optic. The reticle is a little smaller than I expected, but that isn’t a big deal. I zeroed it at 100 yards, sub 1 moa and on zero within 9 shots. Out of the box it was only a few inches low and right, but a tight group for easy zeroing. I carried it around a bit for the last two weeks, but didn’t have a shot on any game. I set it on the ground while pulling down my tree stand, and subsequently dropped the tree stand from 12 feet onto the optic. The paint was scuffed, but otherwise it looked fine. I went back to the range and it was still dead on, and it held zero through a box of ammo at one round per minute for 20 min. Overall, it is the best hunting optic I have owned. I have no doubt I can tighten my groups up and shoot out to 600 yards with this one.

Great hunting optic!

I was looking for a scope for 500 yard deer hunting, and this seems to fit my bill. The glass is very clear, and it zeroed in 3 groups. I have put 9-10 boxes of ammo through it (in 5-6 outings) and it holds zero. This weekend I carried this rifle into the ranch to remove a deer stand, and accidentally toppled the stand out of the tree and straight onto the optic. I was a bit upset with myself, but it took it like a champ. The paint was scuffed, but when I took it back to the range, it shot 12 three shot groups under 1 inch. Also, this is all on the cheapest .308 I could find. It is a TC compass. I am less than $550 into this hunting rifle, that will shoot a whitetail at 500+ yards. Thanks Primary Arms for a great optic at a reasonable price. I was trying to build my rifle cheap because my guns were stolen, and I am not able to buy the high end optics at this time, but I think this one proves that I don’t have to spend the big money to get the quality I want.

Buy It!

Put this on a ruger american 308 and I love it! Only thing I wish it had was illumination. Highly recommend!
