A side mounted parallax adjust knob keeps the reticle parallax free and the target image sharp at extended ranges. This tough scope is shockproof, waterproof, and fog resistant, and comes with a 3-year warranty. This scope does NOT feature an illuminated reticle. Optional sun shade PA4-14SS sold separately. A “cat tail” scope lever is also available from 3 Gun Stuff (product code GS-440).

Best customer service I've ever dealt with
Soren from IL wrote on July 25, 2016:

I recently wrote a review based on a 10 month test of this scope and a little let down with the parallax not staying put when firing on my .308. I had planned to just use it as it was and perhaps buy a new one, but their support called me about 5 minutes ago telling me they were setting up an RMA for me, and that I could expect instructions regarding my return in one business day. I've worked with a lot of companies through my job where I have to return and replace tons of equipment, but this is some of the best customer service I've ever experienced. Over a minor inconvenience of having to fiddle with a knob for a second, they were 100% willing to stand by their product and service. If I could leave 6/5 stars, I would. I'll be sure to update once again in a few months once I have a few hundred rounds down range with the replacement scope. Big thanks to Primary Arms for being an amazing company to work with. I've recently been on a Vortex kick, putting a few of their scopes on my .22 and my second AR-15, but I think I'm gonna have to get a few more PA Scopes to try out when I build myself an AR in 300 Blackout.

great has it all!!!!
mike w. from AZ wrote on July 21, 2016:

i put this on a .22 savage mk2 fv in february 2016. i plink a 6" gong out to 450 yds. the mil dots really help deal with the wind. A 5 mph cross wind at 400 yds can move impact 4-5 mils. very clear optically, clear enough to read mirage and see bullet path.(not as clear as my buddys zeiss but not far behind). tracking is spot on. love this scope!!! turrets start off a little mushy but tighten up with use...not as crisp as my bushnell elite but very close, and adjustments are repeatable. I love the ffp and mil/mil combo, they make dialing in different ranges simple and quick. side focus is very close to, if not perfect. i can't see how anyone could not enjoy this scope. Thank you Primary Arms!

So far so good
Ryan from MN wrote on June 19, 2016:

I took this scope out to South Dakota for a little prairie dog action. The scope worked extremely well. The clarity was great. It was very comparable to my buddies' $1000+ scopes. This was my first time ever shooting over 200 yards and I was able to dial in and consistently hit a 778 yard target with my 223. All of the adjustments seemed to work very well. The turrets are a bit mushy like the other reviews say, but you can't expect perfection in a scope for under $250. The only question I have is, can you PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE start making a higher power version of this scope (maybe a 5-20 or 6-24)? I need a new scope for my 6.5.

Pleasantly Surprised
Jerry from CO wrote on June 09, 2016:

This scope is clearer than I would have imagined for the price. Turrets are slightly mushy but function fine. So far holding accuracy very well. For the money spent you will not find better.

George from MD wrote on May 25, 2016:

I purchased this as an affordable option a couple years ago. I trained in the Marines on FFP MDR scopes for the M40A3 and the M14 DMR. I learned the mil/mil system, and trying to find FFP mil/mil scopes is relatively hard on the civilian market. This scope was placed on my R700 SPS Tactical 20" Rifle in .308. Mounted with a set of scope rings from Leupold, the scope hasn't moved a mm. Holds a zero well and shoots better than I can! Package came fast and properly protected. I upgraded to a sunshade and flip caps. I love this scope and recommend it to others.

Mark from VA wrote on May 06, 2016:

I am running this scope in a DNZ 20MOA tactical mount on a Howa 1500 in .300 Win Mag and have over 200 rounds through it with no issues. The rifle has a brake and some weight added in the stock to help tame recoil, but it's still a beast. Ive taken taken this combo out to 1100 yards and it was ringing steel like a champ. It just keeps running flawlessly. My only major gripes are the turrets feel a little mushy and the tick marks on the turrets don't quite line up with the zero marks on the scope body. So it's no Nightforce or Swarovski, but it's a damn fine scope for the price and even better than some twice the price. I like it so much I put a second one on my AR-10.

Expectations Exceeded!!!
Neils from CA wrote on May 03, 2016:

Honestly, I haven't used the scope enough to review it. HOWEVER... I had an issue with the scope after 225 rounds. I called Primary Arms told them about the issue. I was sent the information to return the problematic scope. I took it to UPS and sent it back ... shipping was paid by Primary Arms. When I returned home from the UPS store ... they had ALREADY DELIVERED THE REPLACEMENT SCOPE. I mean seriously wicked good Customer Service. If I could give them 6 stars ... I would.

Hard Pressed to beat this scope
James from CA wrote on May 01, 2016:

I bought this scope back in January to put on a Savage model 10 after watching Military Arms Channel 1000 yard for $1000 rifle video. I finally was able to go shoot it yesterday(4-30-2016). Bore sighted at 25 yard before I went, at 50 meters my windage was off to the left 4 clicks. Had a 12" gong out at 100 yards and rung it immediately. Only was able to shoot 12 rounds before the fog rolled in so thick I couldn't see 15 yards in front of me This is my first bolt rifle, and was looking for a capable rifle/scope combination for less money. The scope is very clear, and the parallax adjustment knob gave a sharp image. Hopefully it will hold up over time and I still have a lot to learn about long distance shooting but Im Very Happy to be able to get into a great scope for CHEAP! Thank You Primary Arms

Rubberweasel from VA wrote on March 15, 2016:

Had this scope on a 20" AR for over a year and moved it to a .308 bolt gun and it has never missed a beat. I constantly get sub moa out of the scope and gun and everyone that shoots it is amazed at the clarity and how any gun/scope combo can consistently get sub moa out of 147 NATO ball. Super clear glass that I can see the paint chips from the steel target at 300 yards and even went 5 for 5 on the 2" square at 300 yards. I won't be replacing the scope anytime soon. Also the customer service is always excellent and very intelligent.

Josh from OH wrote on March 04, 2016:

I bought this scope mainly out of curiousity of a FFP costing $230. I had to take a step back and look at the bigger picture before I reviewed this scope. It didn't really compete when I put it against my high dollar Vortex. Taking the price point into consideration this scope is well worth the money. The first thing I noticed was the mushy turrets. Very audible but mushy. Optics are clear and sharp with good light transmission. I'd compare the glass to that of a Nikon. The scope tracks excellent. 0 issues there. The cross hairs are a little thick but not overbearing or intolerable. As far as getting what you pay for, this scope is well rounded for the price point and in my belief could easily have a slightly higher price tag and be worth it. For a budget build or a entry level shooter you won't go wrong by purchasing this scope. 5/5 stars to PA for their customer support also.

Love it!

I just returned from a whitetail hunting trip to PA. & NY. I mounted this scope on my Weatherby 257 mag. I have use some very costly scopes before and took one off to try this scope. This is the best scope as far as clarity I have ever used even in low light and I was truly amazed. I harvested a big doe at 330 yards one shot one kill. I will be ordering another for my 06 and 7mm mag. Great company and super fast delivery. Vic Parker Van Nuys, California

YOU CAN'T BEAT THIS SCOPE FOR THE PRICE!! I own a decent Nikon Prostaff and the clarity between the two is unnoticeable! The glass is very sharp and crisp from 4x-14x! No graying out or any of that cheap scope kind of stuff here. Plenty of MOA adjustment and zeroing was a breeze! The turrets have a slight, and I mean slight mushiness to them but not a problem what so ever. The crosshair and mildots are standard and work well. Tracking was also great! This scope is on my custom built 6.5 Grendel AR long range rifle. If Dimitri can get a 6-18x or 6-24x, he's got me sold! Keep up the awesome work and products Dimitri!!

Great scope
JC from MD wrote on December 02, 2015:

I really like this scope. It's solid, the knobs work well, the focus works well, and it's a great price. My one gripe is that max magnification the reticle is just a bit too big. At 200 yds it was obscuring my 1" center dot point of aim. I rarely shoot closer than 200 yds and essentially always keep my scope at max magnification rendering the FFP non essential. I also use a range finder so I don't need to use the mils to range anything. I only use this scope on a target rifle to punch paper amd bang steel. I took off one star for the reticle being too large at max power.

not bad for a cheap scope
Adam from IN wrote on October 22, 2015:

I got this cause the price to put on a 22LR. The turrets will not line up with the marks at all. Thats a big problem when taken the 22 out past 100yds like i like to. You have to recall if it was before the "0" or after. Glass is good, turrets are alittle stiff.

its ok.
joe from CA wrote on August 10, 2015:

Purchased this scope for a vepr 7.62x 54r. Scope is first ffp scope that I have purchased. Received scope and out of the box noticed while looking down through it a piece of lint or dust in the upper left quadrant of the scope. Its was stuck somewhere in the glass internally. Since I was going to the range the next day, I mounted her to my rifle to see if it would hold up. 500 rounds later, the scope is intact, functioning flawless. I like the first focal plane, i'm going to keep her to see how many rounds she can take before breaking if ever she does. I would have given a higher rating, but shipping a scope with a blemish on the glass doesn't show good quality control. Other than that, shipping was great from primary arms, hopefully mine was just a lemon.

Good Scope for your bang but not perfect
N/A from CA wrote on August 10, 2015:

Update: Received my 2nd one today. Decided to get this scope due to the variable power over the fixed power of the SWFA, but perhaps not a wise decision..? Unfortunately, it came with defective W&E turrets, which makes clunky and very tactile sound when turning clockwise, in addition to the normal clicks. More over the Elevation turret bottoms out at line #one, instead of #zero. Like the first one, both turrets are mushy and do not stop at the marks. Also found some dust particles and smears on the inside of the rear and middle middle lenses. Unlike one customer's review, I will not get a replacement until PA receives this one back. Unhappy because it will miss the 200 yd range day open only this weekend. Sending back to PA and deciding if I want a replacement or a full refund.

Seems like a good scope for the money
Eric Sommer from IN wrote on August 10, 2015:

... but you typically get what you pay for, and that seems true in this case as well. I wanted the opportunity to try out a FFP mil/mil scope without the commitment of big bucks, which is how I ended up with this scope. Seems to be built well, but I haven't shot it yet due to IN weather. The glass is decent, but the turrets are pretty mushy and the eye relief can be finicky, especially at higher powers. I look forward to testing it's tracking capabilities and learning how to run a FFP scope. For a beginner's scope, I don't see how you could go wrong.

From the questions prior to the buying decision. To the order confirmation immediately upon placing the order. To the shipment confirmation within two hours of the order until the scope arrived two days later. The best customer service I have experienced in some time. And after about 30 rounds on the scope, I am truly impressed. I've only got about 100 yds to play with right now. Looking forward to pushing it out much further. Mounted on my old Savage 110 LA in 30-06 I am a happy man. It is sure as good as I am. I understand now why the reviews were so good. They were deserved.

First FFP; never buying a traditional scope again
BSTZ from N/A wrote on August 10, 2015:

I mounted this on my .308 Remington 700 with a McRee Precision chassis. Realizing the inherent flaw in traditional variable power scopes I chose to try this in order to get the best long distance accuracy while still being able to bring the magnification down for hunting. I have learned that PA products are always incredibly high value for your money and this is no exception. The magnification gives you options, the focus is crystal clear, and turrets are easily adjustable. Before when searching for a scope I got caught up in the magnification hype and was a little worried I would not be able to push out as far with 14x as I wanted. Having taken this scope out in good and bad weather and varying conditions and ranges I can say that I have never felt like it was under powered. The consistency of the FFP takes out guesswork and I can honestly say that I will never buy a traditional varying power scope again.

Great bang for your buck!

Purchased a while back for my POF 308 and have to say for the money you won't find a nicer scope. No its not a Trijicon or higher end Leupold or a Nightforce but you would able to be 4-10 of these for what 1 of the others go for. If you're a glass snob then it's not for you but if you want a nice scope for a great price you can't go wrong!

Good Value for the Money
Kevin Kissell from OH wrote on August 10, 2015:

Got the scope last week and was pretty much exactly what I have come to expect from Marshall's group. Scope feels good in hand and works as advertised. Took it out to 300 yards over the weekend and glass was nice a clear (not S&B clear but excellent for the price range). Clicks have a little mush in them but were positive. Ran a tracking test on it and it tracked perfectly. Overall I am very happy with the optic. Only reason(s) it didn't get five stars was when resetting the turrets, the cap lines don't match perfectly to those on the scope body and the turrets do not lock like on the PA 4-16x44. Really these are just minor and the scope is a great value for the money. Thanks PA and keep up the good work.

Primary Arms lives up to its reputation of outstanding customer service. My first scope had a problem with the parallax adjustment which was just an unforeseeable manufacture defect. Customer service was nothing short of fantastic; my new replacement scope went out that day and a return postage email was also sent out to my email immediately. The scope is amazing. I really dont know how they can pack that much into such a low price. I have owned and professionally used many scopes over the last 28 years and this deal is really unheard of. Great Company.

STA Plt 1/25 1997-2004 from MA wrote on August 10, 2015:

The optic is very clear. The reticle is exactly what you need if you are comfortable with range estimation using the mil relation formula. What is also an added benefit is the windage and elevation adjustments are in mils as well so there is no need to convert Mils/MOA. The scope appears to be built well and fit nicely on an extended base with medium rings. I have yet to field test it yet. We shall see if it holds up to my savage 308 that currently shoots 3/4" groups at 100 yards with a 12x. For the price, I could not find another scope with the same features. It appears that the word has spread because it was out of stock for quite a while and I did not want the ACSS reticle since I have a lot of experience with the mil dot from the Marine Corps. Shipping was fast and the glass was packaged well. For some reason, I thought that the butler creek flip ups came with it but it came with a bikini instead. Not a big deal.

FFP Scope
Bill from AL wrote on August 10, 2015:

Since receiving my scope I have only taken it out once. I have it mounted on a .17HMR, as I have never encouraged putting lower cost scopes on magnum rifles and would not mount this on anything heavier than a .308. While at the range it held zero fine even after running it out to 300 yds, and finished off with a box drill that turned out perfect. I would dispute the clarity, however. It seems almost as if I could use a bit more adjustment on the diopter focus in order to achieve maximum clarity. Overall, you can't beat it, especially within its price range. This scope could easily have a price tag of $400 and would still be a great value. I will be a return customer to Primary Arms.

First FFP scope and not disappointed!
Mike Herrick from NJ wrote on August 10, 2015:

This scope is built great, great clarity, very positive clicks when making adjustment. I'm not sure why people are giving this scope less than 5 stars. CS was great. Each of the guys I spoke to at PA were courteous, knowledgeable and patient. I did get some mixed data from them, but that's why I always get several opinions on a topic, usually. I got it clarified. The product came a couple of days later than expected, but perhaps that was because I was anxious, hoping for 2 days, not 4 in the priority USM delivery. The product looks great, feels great. It's short on the ELV clicks by four-tenths of a mil, but it will work for my purposes at the moment. The turrents have a nice, strong click to them that you can both feel and hear. A minor complaint is the brevity of the instructions that come with it. More info and tech data could be included to save time calling cs. I've yet to try it at the range, but it is an un-matched quality for a sub-$300 scope, for-sure. PA really doped this product into a bullseye solution. Thank you!

I just needed a decent scope in $300-$400 price range for a precision .22 build I was working on and ended up with this scope for only $230! Really this is the best scope you can get for that price hands down. Even most scopes in the $400 range aren't this good. Glass is really clear. And it focuses down to 10 yards which is a big plus for a .22 rifle. I'd say the only down side for this scope is the turrets clicks are really mushy. They make the right adjustments, but are very spongy. To me, it's not that big of a deal, especially given the price of this optic. This is the best scope you can get for the money. Thanks primary arms!

This was another painless transaction with PA's industry known lightning fast shipping. I ordered this scope due to the fact other scopes I have on order have been on back order for over 5 months. I have now shot this scope on two different rifles - DPMS 308 and Bushmaster Varminter both new and I was anxious to get them broke in and see how they shot. For budget glass this scope is better than many I have used that cost far more. I have ran it through box test multiple times on both rifles and it has returned to zero flawlessly and any deviation from adjustments dialed in I can attribute to shooter error and not the scope. No it is not going to match up against top end scopes but for the $$$ it is a good value in my opinion. The test will be in how well it lives and that would the only thing I would have liked to see - LIFETIME instead of 3 Year Warranty.

Absolutely the best scope for the price!!!!

I never write reviews but this is such an awesome scope for the money I had to write a review. A few years ago I bought a bsa that was of similar quality and has the same specs for my 7mm rem. Mag and I love it. I paid $250 for it when they just introduced them to the market and now they sell for $399.00. I recently acquired a .308 and wanted the same scope but was hoping to find one for cheaper than $399. I came across this scope when I was searching and thought what the hell Ill give it a try. I am so happy with this scope that I have recommended it to several people. Every time I show someone this scope they are amazed at the quality and most of all price!!!! Comparing this scope to a Leupold I see very little difference if any and this scope is 1/6th the price at least. If you are worried about the quality don't. If I get another gun any time soon that requires a scope I will buy this scope again or possibly try the upgraded version of this scope that pa has on here.

I am very pleased with the design of this product. The 44 objective pulls in a bright image, turret adjustments were easy to use and set the outer rings to zero after I brought the scope and rifle tight on the target zero. I had to crank the diopter out to its limit because of my failing eyesight, but it got me there nice and crisp. The zoom adjustment was on the tight side, but I will not have to worry about it slipping. I really like the front focal plane design. Retical error is one less thing I have to worry about now when moving up for a longer shot. I would definitely recommend this scope to a friend. Very good value! Bruce

I bought this scope a little scared by the price and how that would translate into quality of the glass and it's ability to deal with the recoil of the gun. I had put it on my Mosin Nagant and took it out shooting. I've only put ~20 rounds down range with this scope, I was able to see very clearly through the glass and the clicks when making adjustments were audible and crisp.

Due to a backorder issue with a different company, with a much, much more expensive scope, I purchased this scope in a pinch ahead of a 3 day sniper class. During the class, I proceeded to beat the crap out of it. I fired approximately 800 rounds from a HK91 (known for being oh so gentle on optics......) We rolled around in the mud, it was dropped, slung, submerged and even used for about 12 hours in a full on downpour. After 3 days it held zero and tracking perfect, did not break, fog, fail or malfunction in any way. The glass is solid and the turrets and reticle are spot on accurate and repeatable. I really appreciated the side focus knob, just ignore the "distance" for anything over 300 yards. Is it a Steiner or U.S. Optics or Nightforce? No, but for the money, nothing even comes close in a variable. So if you are just getting into the long range game, or need a scope that will get the job done on a budget, you really cant go wrong!

A great scope for the money

Tom Selleck (no not really) from PA wrote on August 10, 2015:

I purchased this scope after reading MANY positive reviews for a budget build 308 tactical rife. I am impressed. After a few rounds down rage it was immediately apparent that the turrets were perfectly matched to the mil dots and after 3 rounds of zeroing i was shooting sub moa at 100 yards. With minimal effort i adjusted for drop and was pinging a 500 yard target effortlessly. Though i wouldn't recommend it for anything past 800-1000 yards, at 14x magnification the glass was clear and it was no trouble at all to pick out targets without blur. It is solid, astoundingly well built, and with the added bonus of the ffp reticle, you'd be hard pressed to find a better deal. If you're still on the fence, take my advice, just buy it. You will not be disappointed.

I decided to zero off at 300 yards and do hold-offs for anything further. First shot at 300 yds was a bullseye. I kept aiming further out (without dialing a single knob) until I was hitting metal plates at 700 yards like it was nothing. I took a risk by not spending a lot on an FFP scope and this certainly was worth every penny. Extremely stoked

I just finished a precision build of an AR-15 and I am back to purchase my 2nd scope because I know I'll be happy and it will meet my needs, and that's the best endorsement I can give. I won't compare to $1000+ scopes because I have no experience with them. Now that I own this scope I'll likely never purchase one. I love Mil-Dot; I won't ever go back. Also, first focal plane (FFP) is awesome. At 4x, the mil-dots are too small, but at 4x, their usefulness is limited anyway; this is the compromise of FFP, but non-FFP mil-dots are useless except when at full zoom. This scope is mounted on my .30-06 Weatherby, and it's held its zero well for the couple hundred rounds over the several trips to the range over the past year. I'm confident when I pull it out next year for hunting season that I'll make no tweaks, and that's what it's all about. With a 200-400 yd spread of range from my blind to the woodline, the ability to easily compensate with holdover, zoom, and parallax is very nice.

Thanks to PA for generously getting the scope to me after UPS refused to accept responsibility for failing delivery. I'll review by comparison: I own two Leupolds; one FFP and a basic 3-9. This scope is surprisingly good compared to them. The picture is slightly less clear (tested by reading street signs at 400 meters). The PA is minimally blurred vs the more expensive optics. The knobs on the PA are crisp and very usable - I have no issues. The expensive optics have a small edge in tightness of adjustments. My only gripe with the PA is the picture is only available in a small area as you move your head side-to-side by comparison. I can't find other obvious differences beyond warranties, etc. In conclusion, the advantage to Leupold is shockingly minor - sometimes you get more than you paid for. The features on offer at this price are hard to beat. It's only slightly worse than $1000+ models. I'm very impressed with the scope and the service of Primary Arms.

I then slammed the butt of the rifle on the ground four times very hard to simulate clearing a jammed shell casing, reloaded and fired three shots at the target no shift in zero. I have now used it out to 800yds dialed in 5.8 mils hit dead on, dialed down for 400yds hit round count is now over 200. I've been using this scope for several months now. I have it mounted on my Savage Model 10 FCP-K. I am using a Weaver rail & Weaver rings. I love this scope. I shoot mostly long range at steel. Sometimes I get brave and go for clays at 1000yards. This scope does the job very well. While I've looked through other scopes at the range & can definitely say that other high end brands have noticeably better glass, I can't say I would be willing to pay the price for it. The turrets work very well. When you dial in 3/10 of a mil, you will pretty much see 3/10 of a mil down range (pretty much because I can't remove myself from the equation and I do still pull shots plenty). The clicks are nice & crisp. The markings align well, but not perfectly all the time. I'm tempted to buy another one & put it on my AR. The scope it would replace cost 50% more than this one and this one is clearly superior. 5 stars because at this price it can't be beat even with slightly inferior glass.

My range is limited to 650yds, and I've been struggling at targets beyond the 350yd berm for quite a while. The reticle on my previous scope was on the SFP, and trying the mil dot holdover was way off, and was just chunkin' lead downrange. The P/A 4-14 FFP scope has changed that drastically, and with the combination of the reticle staying constant in relation to range, and magnification, and the turrets matched to my loads, I'm able to shoot 2.5 moa @ 650yds! I don't usually bother writing reviews for products, but this PA 4-14x44 FFP scope has really left me proud after a two-day range trip this past weekend. Once we zeroed in this scope at 25 yard for my PWS AR-15, we ran through different ranges all the way up to 400 yards, and this scope has performed beyond all my expectation. I compared the image quality of this PA scope with my Vortex 6.5-20x44 and Bushnell Elite 4.5-30x50, and immediately it became obvious that the glass from this PA simply offers a much sharper image than the other two. The Vortex and Bushnell Elite have image distortion around the edge; yet this $200 PA FFP scope has nothing of the sorts, no matter how hard I was trying to justify their qualities based on their price. You can make precise AND accurate adjustments via the very well-engineered turrets on this scope. Not only do they offer a tactile and audible click when you dial in, they also allowed me to do the box drill all the way up to 400 yards.

I compared this against my Weaver (800363), and a SWFA 3-15. The PA has better glass/coatings than the SWFA for dealing with mirage. Has more positive sounding clicks than either, and better feeling than the SWFA. Hash marks line up better than either too. Let's be honest, while annoying, that is a COMMON problem of those $7-800 scopes. MANY of those scopes need rails or offset rings to make 1,000 yards also. My PA has 34.2 mils, just need a set of regular PA rings; which are quite nice also.

No broken glass or dents in the body. The rifle weighs close to 11 pounds with the glass on it. I figured it was effed. A few weeks later I took it to the range and fired a few rounds. I was all sorts of supprised when I got this in the mail. First of I had it by the evening of the next day. Second off I dialed it in and I could count the stitches on my friends coat from fifty yards (haven't been to a good range with it yet to see farther). I put it on my Rem 700 and it's gonna stay there.

Tough Scope
Tyler Dotter from N/A wrote on August 10, 2015:

I must say this scope is both precisely built, and beefy enough to handle 308 at the very least. The other day at the range, after about 100 308 rounds through my LR308, I didn't realize the damn screws had backed out just enough so that the scope began moving in the rings. Damn lock-tight must have expired or something. Anyway, I shot at least 10 rounds with a loose scope. At first I turned all clammy and sweaty, thinking I had a lemon scope (because my zero began moving around). However after a thorough inspection; I realized the problem was mechanical, and after re-tightening the screws, the scope was back to it's tac-driver accuracy. Roughly 1" MOA, and with only a bi-pod! I am truly happy with this setup, and will use it for both a target and hunting scope. This is the second scope I've purchased from PA, and I am definitely happy with the outcome. Keep up the great work Primary Arms!!! -Tyler Dotter

Torture Tested with 338 Win. Mag.

Mounted on a 338 Win Mag and put 50 hot rounds through it....held zero perfectly, was very clear all the way to 14X and was not effected by the recoil unlike myself. Was able to hold 5" groupings with the 338 at 750yds. I purchased this for a .223 Model 10 Savage and now it resides on top of it giving sub MOA out to 400 yds. I really like the brightness, clarity, FFP and it just looks great with excellent fit and finish. I have scopes that cost literally $1000 more and though they are super high quality...for the price the Mil Mil is now my go to field scope and WILL put one on my next rifle.

the best scope! not just because of its value
Chad stenger from VA wrote on August 10, 2015:

Amazing scope! You get what you order, I mean that everything works as it should or even would on much more expensive scopes! At this price and quality of product why would you get another scope? The only reason I would buy another scope would be if I had 1000$ to spend on a scope because that is what you are going to pay to get a better scope

The best sub $300 scope on the market.

I'll admit that I was mildly skeptical about this optic. Optics are costly and great optics more so. It makes sense. Under this impression, I took a gamble and made the purchase. It paid off in a big way. The scope is extremely clear and uniform in every magnification I've used. And I've used them all. The ffp is awesome as well. I've shot everywhere from 10 yds rapid fire to steady shots at 400yds. Its riding on a S&W M&P10 in .308. I put over 200 rounds through it the first week and the scope has not lost its zero. I am impressed and recommend this to anyone searching for a great optic at a decent price. This changed my opinion on getting what you pay for in this case. Thanks to Primary Arms for the great product.

I bought this scope one year ago, zeroed it at 100 yrds and put it away. 2 weeks ago I went to the range and had some trouble getting the scope to focus. I could never get it to focus the target and the retical at the same time. I actually shot this scope out to 300 yards like this and was hitting 10 inch steel plates. I finally noticed the the entire eye piece was crooked, like it had ben hit but with no marks on the scope at all. this was the focus problem because the lenses were not in line. Honestly, I would say something hit the scope in the soft case and did this on my way to the range. I sent an email to PA and the next day they responded that a new scope was on its way. Two days later I was putting a new scope on my gun! NO questions asked, just send the old one back (they payed for shipping back). new scope is perfect and services 2nd to none! keep in mind the broken scope held its zero...many of the guys at the range were amazed to see me hit at 300 with a busted scope!

Great service!

Compared this to a SS 10x HD, SS 12x, and a Bushnell Elite 3200 3-9x40. The glass is just as clear as the Bushnell, and a touch clearer than the non-HD SS - just a tiny bit darker than the SS at 12+ magnification but not much. Not quite as clear as the SS HD but not that far from it, and way more than I expected for a scope in this price range. Turret clicks are crisp and precise (a bit better than the SS models) and the marks line up perfectly. Focus wheel turns easily and has a wide range of adjustment for very fine control. Reticle thickness is reasonable at max magnification while still being visible at minimum mag. What can I say? I can't find a thing I don't like about this scope. Initial impression is that PA has hit a home run with this one! Can't wait to mount it up on the ol' 308 and do the box test. At the price PA is asking, this has got to be the most bang-for-the-buck you can get in a scope. Great job!

I can't imagine a better optic for the money
David Huebel from N/A wrote on August 10, 2015:

I bought this scope for a new Remington 700 in 7mm Rem Mag. I didn't have a lot of money for this build so I relied upon Youtube budget build videos for reference. I liked what I heard from Military Arms Channel and went with this scope based on there 1000 yard for under $1000 project. Yesterday I took it out to shoot for the first time. I was able to get it zeroed in 10 rounds but that was partly due to mistakes on my part. I bet I could have done it in 5 or less. I shot 50 rounds and it stayed true. It wasn't tracking the way I thought it should but I need more time and several more boxes to really get to know it. I shout a few 1.5 MOA groups at 100 yards but I think that has more to do with the cheap stock and new barrel. With time I expect better results. The glass is very clear throughout the entire range of magnification. The turrets have nice crisp clicks. I'm very happy with my purchase.

Great Scope. Great Customer Service.

I bought this scope after the great things being said about from the Military Arms Channel and used it on my Remington 700 AAC-SD. Very clear lense easy to use thanks to the FFP. The only issue I had was during shooting my hand loads. On one of the shots, the reticle seemed to tilt about 10‚° clockwise. I emailed PA about the issue and soon got a reply back saying the would fix the problem. Best thing about this was they shipped a new scope even before replying back to me with a return sticker for the old one. I will keep using their products because they work and if something goes wrong, they will be there to fix the problem.

This scope is probably going to be your best bang for your buck. The only thing comparable to it is $700 (SWFA 3-15x42 FFP Mildot Scope). The glass has really good clarity. The glass is way better than my Nikon Prostaff. I also love the build quality. Really good clicks and I love how you can reset your mil's to zero once sighted in. Only complaint I have is I wish Primary Arms made a kill flash for this scope. I would definitely buy again and will probably buy another one for my next rifle.

Very nice scope. Glass is very clear and everything is in focus once you set it up right and use the parallax knob correctly. This went on an AR w/ a muzzle brake and I have only shot 100 rounds, but so far so good. Glad I went with PA once again for my optic. I have yet to be let down by them.

Great Scope for the Money!
Matthew Ebert from N/A wrote on August 10, 2015:

Put this scope on a custom built SPR rifle. Zero'd the rifle at 100 yards and on my confirmation group shot .25 MOA. The scope tracks really well, the glass is as clear as a Nikon, and the mil dots are spot on. My only negative is the eye relief; it's very unforgiving, but if you know what you're doing then it works. For the price this scope is as good as scopes costing 3-4 times as much.

Great scope!

Great FFP scope considering the price point. Clicks are audible, but not very tactile. They are mushy. Clarity and contrast of scope is excellent. On par with their other line of SFP scopes. Love that it was a mil/mil turret/reticle design. And being able to reset the zero. The only thing that would have made this optic better, was illumination.

Nice Scope for the cost
Greg from N/A wrote on August 10, 2015:

Purchased this for my M1A and I was able to shoot 1" groups at 100 yards bench rest. I still have to try it at 300 yards. I like that you can set the turret caps to zero and adjust from there for wind-age and elevation and get back to your 100 yard zero again very easy. I also can see the staples holding the target at 100 yards! Still have to get use to the 1/10 mil. adjustments over MOA. Power ring is a little stiff, but it was 35 deg. outside. I am happy I got this over the 4-14X44 with the DMR reticle which is to busy for my needs.

Made a believer out of me

Had seen the PA 4-14X44 FFP on Youtube and mentioned in some blog posts, with positive reviews of the scope and the company. So I decided to take a chance on a $229 scope for my Del-Ton AR instead of spending $500-$700. It has been a most pleasant surprise. Great quality, holds zero, and helps me reach out farther and much more accurately than a red dot or 1-4X. The bullet holes are the same for the PA, Vortex or Leopold. I love it, and will go to Primary Arms again for my optic needs. Great decision to buy. Happy-Happy-Happy!!

Much better than expected...I was impressed

As budget scopes go, this thing is pretty amazing. I own several high dollar precision scopes and wanted a first focal plane, mil/mil scope for my hunting rifle since that's what I'm used to. The glass is very clear, even at full magnification. The scope seems to track accurately in the box test and hold zero on my lightweight hunting .308. Construction is solid but not overly heavy. My only complaint (and it is VERY minor) is that the ether box is a bit narrow but for the money, this thing is awesome. I could have spent double and gotten a lot less. First focal plane reticle was the icing on the cake.

one nice scope

I generally don't buy an item based only on it reviews... i done my research on this product and its cheap he best variable zoom first focal plain scope your gonna get.. i returned to zero every time took it out to 300 yards (1.3) mils i had to click up and took it back to zero and it grouped sub moa where it last did... if your on the fence and don't know if you should buy it or not. Do your self a favor and get it. My only wish is that they would add an adjustable zero stop to the turrets and a lifetime warranty to give the buyer peace of mind

If you're in the same boat buy this scope! I was surprised at the quality and function of this scope. I bought it for an AR-15 in 300 blackout that I mostly run a suppressor on. I really wanted the tactical turrets, First focal plane, 30mm tube, at least 14X magnification, and the ability to zero the turrets. The turrets are important as I have to change he elevation when going from suppressed to un-suppressed and it makes almost effortless to crank it up or down and remain dead on at either setting. God I love that, no caps to remove, no coin or screwdriver to mess with and then zero the turrets at the most commonly used mode. I got it all and it's an absolute bargain. Don't waste your money buying more scope than you need get this one!

Scope : This FFP is excellent for the money. You really can't beat it. I've zeroed it in with the 5.56 AR, and it has not lost zero yet after a few magazines, nor do I expect it to. Crystal clear. If I were to have one complaint, and maybe it could be just my fault...when I turn the magnification, it is tight, so it tends to cause the scope to rotate on the PA mount. I need to figure out if there's a way to fix that. Other than that, I love it! PA Customer service. Even in these busy times, scope was delivered very fast. Very happy about that. thanks PA!
