I originally had the 3x and replaced it with this 6x. I couldn't be happier. It's mounted on the PA flip mount behind the eotech. The 3x got passed on to family because I won't be looking back!

ok magnifier no lens cover
Phillip Hochman from N/A wrote on August 10, 2015:

The 6x magnifier does its job with a little too close eye relief...you really need to have it almost hanging off your rail system to see properly. Way cheaper than the eo tech ripoff mag. My little annoyance is when I bought the 3x it came with a bikini lens cover and this one came with nothing! When I called they sent me to flip up covers that didn't fit. Doesn't make sense to manufacture a lens without a way to protect it.

OK so far

Great magnifier not so much on eye relief

Perfectly clear, flip to side mount is great. Eye relief leave a lot to be desired until they come out with an extended eye relief.

6X Magnifier with PA Mount
B. Mong from N/A wrote on August 10, 2015:

Good magnifier over all once I had the diopter adjuster ring moving. Very, very tight. took channel locks to break it lose. Then it moved on its own with a lot of force. PA QD mount had a good amount of play on pin that probably should have a tighter tolerance on it. Moved so much that I will have to get a new mount for it to be anywhere acceptable. Optics mounts should be solid even QD.

good magnifier, terrible eye relief
micah pratt from UT wrote on August 10, 2015:

The product feels like a quality product, but the eye relief is so short. The image quality is very clear. I have in my range bag when I shoot, and may shoot with it every once in awhile, but I don't leave it on regularly due to the poor eye relief. It's a nice tool to have in case I need it, but it's got to be mounted too far back for my taste, in order to get acceptable eye relief for a full clear image. Would be better with more eye relief so it could be mounted further forward and not in the way of the charging handle and BUIS. If I shot a higher caliber then the recoil would likely scope me in the eye, but for 5.56, it just lightly touches my eye glasses and certainly causes no pain.

Good, not great
eric chatman from N/A wrote on August 10, 2015:

Hard to get good focus on the dot itself. This may be the case with all large magnifiers. Would be willing to try the long eye relief 3x instead.

Good Product
Ben from N/A wrote on August 10, 2015:

While I think the 6x magnifier will do a great job, as it is clear and easily views, I really should have ordered the flip to side mount on it. The raised mount doesn't latch as well as one would think, and I may have to spend the money to buy the other mount, as I just don't think it will hold up. Also, on my AR, to put on the magnifier, I have to remove my rear flip up sight.

Nice but eye relief is too short
Patrick Black from N/A wrote on August 10, 2015:

I have the 3x longer relief magnifier from Primary Arms on my 9mm AR15 and got this 6x magnifier for my new 5.5.6 AR15. I like it fine except if I get close enough to see the full field of view I usually get bumped in the glasses on recoil, shooting from the bench using bipod. If I force myself to stay back so that I can't see the whole view, then I'm OK. I would like to get closer without getting hit from recoil.

Good Product. Great Company
Justin W.. from FL wrote on August 10, 2015:

I recently bought the 6x magnifier to replace the 3x deluxe magnifier I have been using with my Eotech. The eye relief is about the same in both. The glass on this is very clear with both looks and functionality great for the price. I'm giving it only 3 stars because I expected it to come with bikini covers like my deluxe did, however, it did not. It was also a pain to mount which was not expected and I had to try a QD mount which, like the flip to side mount, would not allow for the Eotech 2-0, Magnifier, and MBUIS to all fit on the upper receiver's rail. Went back to the flip to side mount and pushed the eotech forward onto the rail (only a little).

good product

I also bought the PA QD flip mount for this magnifier. With the rear flip up sight down,my face is touching the charging handle and forward assist button on my upper in order to get the correct eye relief to use this unit. It was easy to adjust for the reticle center, and has decent clarity.

The mount is great, but a little stiff... I'm sure it will be perfect with some wear. It levels up the magnifier perfectly with my EO Tech optic. The magnifier is a great product at an excellent price and the customer service is, as all the reviews I have read confirmed, superlative. Thank you Primary Arms!

Great magnifier
Phillip Burnett from N/A wrote on August 10, 2015:

Purchased this magnifier to use behind my Eotech 556. Love it. Used the Primary Arms flip to side high mount. Lines up perfect. By using the azmiths, the Eotech Holograph is perfectly centered in the magnifier. Clear glass. No reason to spend big money on other brands. Went with the 6x for more accurate shots at 100 yards. Eye relief is good and where you would expect for a higher powered optic like this. Had a chance to take to range today. Excellent with Eotech. Allows for best of both worlds (CQB / Long Range). Works well in all light conditions. Sub MOA accuracy

Great product

Great product and wonderful customer service. I lost the adjustment caps for the windage and elevation, and I emailed them and within a day they sent me new caps. That is excellent customer service and I couldn't be happier. If there is any debate as to weather or not you should buy from ebay, amazon, or primary arms, go with primary arms every time. Great company.

6x magnifier with tall flip to side mount
Paul Griech from N/A wrote on August 10, 2015:

Mounted this on my MP15 sport running exps2-2 and the magnifier I love it works great not very good eye relief that's my only negative I think the eotech hood might be the problem. All in all great product and it arrives fast

Works great with 512
Jeff Myers from WV wrote on August 10, 2015:

Mostly clear with a small amount of haze around the edge. A little heavy but the price is right and quality is very good. This is an excellent magnifier for someone who doesn't want to spend a Lot of money on a name brand.

Good quality
Eddy from N/A wrote on August 10, 2015:

Good quality magnifier at a very reasonable price. The eye relief is almost nonexistent, however. You'll most certainly want to use eye protection when getting this close to the ocular lens unless you want a trip to the er with a permanently attached magnifier monocle.

6x Mag
Joseph Edwards from AZ wrote on August 10, 2015:

Very happy with the product, though the low inventory on mounts meant I had to go elsewhere for a mount similar to what I wanted. Looking forward to getting a PAM3M RDS when they are available, though a pre-order ability might be needed.

Clear. Dislike the comet TAIL
Adrian Dizon from CA wrote on August 10, 2015:

The magnifier is awesome minus the comet tail. I thought it was mounting at first, but later found out that comet like tail is normal. I wish this was disclosed during product purchase.

6x Magnifier
Spanyerd from AZ wrote on August 10, 2015:

Excellent quality. Produces a very sharp, bright and clear image. Eliminated the harsh and very fuzzy pixelation of my EOTech 512. What an improvement! It's on the larger size, but that doesn't matter much for my application. Compared it side x side against my buddy's EOTech HHS I combo and we both preferred the $100 Primary Arms 6x over the $550 EOTech 3x mag at all distances. The flip-to-side mount works very well, although it's not exactly centered in the window of the 512, however, the on-board adjustments allowes the reticle to be centered in the mag very easily. Overall, I couldn't be more satisfied with the product and service. Excellent job!

Short eye relief
David Duarte from AZ wrote on August 10, 2015:

The eye relief is short, but overall a good magnifier for the price. That is the only drawback, good optics. As usual fast shipping and super service.

Great magnifier for the price
N/A from AZ wrote on August 10, 2015:

My eyes are not what they used to be and this makes for 50 yds and beyond much easier and more precise. Dropped one star because the eye relief isn't great, but still manageable and worth it for me. I would not hesitate to recommend to a friend.

Joshua DeWyse from N/A wrote on August 10, 2015:

For the money this is a great magnifier, very clear glass, good magnification, fairly sturdy mount. Yes, the eye relief is a bit low, but if you're willing to pay $300 more for .3inches of eye relief then power to you.

Works great

Long story short... Hit add to cart.
M.W. from TX wrote on August 10, 2015:

Long story where PA gets praise from me. This magnifier ended up falling off the back of my truck doing 30 mph. I was lucky my GF noticed the jogger waving for us to come back when he noticed it fall. Not a single crack in the glass. There are 14 gashes where it skipped across the pavement at 30mph though. The objective side took the worst of it, where it went end over end multiple times falling very hard denting it's edges in. I used a Vortex Viper HS 4-16x50 just to check the magnification. The Vortex was a smidgen better but that's comparing a $550 scope to a $100 magnifier, that simply amazed me. First off that the magnification was actually almost 6, youtube video's show many advertised 7x's to be 4.5-5 at best and $10-20 more than PA. Then to find the clarity comparable to a Vortex made me even more happy. Finally, it's obviously built with quality in mind with tank-like features. :D My first PA product I've owned, not the last. Thank you Primary Arms! Amazing product.

Looks good to me
Lennie Schmandt from AL wrote on August 10, 2015:

This is the first magnifier I have owned so I can't compare it to anything else but it is interesting that looking through the magnifier which is looking through a Eotech 517 looks about the same as looking through my TRS-1 on 6X (in sunshine). Can't speak to longevity, I have only had the magnifier for two weeks.

Great magnifier for the price.
LWC tier 2 Operator(SWAT) from TX wrote on August 10, 2015:

Great magnifier for the price. Compares with Vortex mag which is almost as good as Eotec. You can't go wrong with this one. Only gave it a 4 because the mount has a little wiggle (which doesn't effect usability). Works great for night time observation when mounted on a piece of picitiny rail front of my Gen 2 NV monoclular!!

Great value! Excellent customer service.
teedoff from MI wrote on August 10, 2015:

I ordered the 6x magnifier and QD mount. The eye relief is short, but I am able to have my stock set up-to two positions from fully collapsed and still have been able to see through the magnifier without much issue. The mount seems very solid and I had no issues with the installation. The magnifier adjustments work well, however, I ran out of "up" adjustment, but my Eotech reticle is just about in the center so NBD. Primary Arms has excellent customer service and awesome communication. I would not hesitate to buy from them again.

Earl Stanley from ND wrote on August 10, 2015:

Ordered this as a package with the Primary Arms red dot and I'm very impressed. The glass is crystal clear and the flip to side mount is fantastic. I was torn between the 3x and 6x and very happy I went with a 6x. Eye relief isn't bad. In an ideal world I'd love to have about 8 inches of eye relief but till then this is more than adequate. And the shipping was exceptional. Ordered on a Friday and received it Wednesday and that was with Monday being a holiday.

Excellent Magnifier for the Price

John Pedric from N/A wrote on August 10, 2015:

I am glad I went with the 6x. At first I thought it may be over kill but after shooting through it at 225 yards down to 50 yards I may not have been satisfied with the 3x. The magnifier is well built and has very clear glass. The eye relief is not as bad as people are saying. plus even if youre not right in the sweet spot its not like a regular scope to where you will push shots the opposite direction of shadowing in the scope because the optic is external. After shooting through this I thin its a must for any red dot owner. I wanted more range but did not want to get rid of my eotech. People tried to talk ne out of it while bragging that they can hit a target at 300 meters with iron sights. That's nice and all but at the range everything is a target. I will be using this set up at work in the real world where you actually have to identify what is and is not a threat. Try doing that with on magnifier.

Great for the money and clear view
Sean Brooks from MD wrote on August 10, 2015:

Just sighted my red dot in with this today, fired six shots down range in a quarter size group. It's mated with a sightmark. Only problem I have is the dot looks more like a whale tail. But the base is the dot. If I hold my hands between the magnifier and the red dot but not block the total view I can get just the dot. Which makes me think if I had a flash screen or something to knock the glare down it would be a better view. But over all I'm very happy

I love this magnifier. For the price, it cant be beat. It mounts up to my XPS2-0 and the fov is still perfect. Thanks PA

James Christoffers from N/A wrote on August 10, 2015:

I mounted this yesterday and I like it. I though that a 6X would be much more useful than a 3X. I have a bunch of variable scope and have never used the 3X lower setting. The 6X gives you the range and with a flip to side can be out of your way very easily. I mounted this to the Samson flip to side, it requires some fitting to make it work but I like the way this mount works compared to the others on this website. The adjustments allowed me to easily center my XPS2-0. I'm very happy with this. The eye relief is short but with my stock all the way in I get a good sight picture.

Does the job & 6x vs 3x
T HALL from WA wrote on August 10, 2015:

This magnifier just works. The eye relief is good but could be better. The 6x is priceless, though, as you can really use this past 50 yards & get accurate results. The first magnifier had an issue but PA's awesome customer service remedied the issue very quickly. Only quirk is Made in China, but hey the price is low.

very good
Scott Snow from MS wrote on August 10, 2015:

I do like the 6x red dot magnifier. I didn't imagine the eye relief would be so short, and that's the only draw back. Purchase a cantilever mount with it, and you won't have any nose into the charging handle cram issues. $30 for ncstar quick release and it makes the difference all the way around. The optic itself it clean and clear. Good quality built, not as heavy as I thought it would be and this with a red dot is still lighter than a compact scope. Good value for the money, nice to have around.

Not too shabby...

Product works as intended and is well worth the price. I would give it five stars but the eye relief is crazy close. I wasn't expecting it to be a long relief but if you have a BUIS with the magnifier mounted next in line, your nose WILL be on the charging handle. Overall, it's easy to figure out and easy to use

Chris Smock from N/A wrote on August 10, 2015:

While it does wobble a little on the mount it is hardly noticeable. Easy to center the red dot on and while the red dot does grow through the sight and even blur a little on the right side I am still able to keep groups with it relatively easy. I bought the flip to the side scope and i have a aimpoint micro t1 that i team with it. Get the tallest mount for eotech if u use the tall mount on aimpoint they sync up well. Tall mount from larue tactical that is.

Makes your Eotech come alive
Aaron Hachenberg from OR wrote on August 10, 2015:

I purchased one of these new on eBay from primary arms. I'm very happy with it. The quality is excellent, I've never looked through a $500 magnifier but I can't imagine they're really 5x better. I had a "poor boy" Hensoldt 2x magnifier and the primary arms 6x blows it away in quality and performance. The 6x is a vast improvement. You may think you don't shoot far enough to need it, but it is extremely useful for small targets at closer ranges too. I am using this with an Eotech 512 and a Bushnell TRS-25. The Eotech really comes alive with magnification. The reticle is actually crisper under magnification. The Bushnell micro dot does "smear" to a degree under 6x but not to an unuseable level in my opinion. Primary Arms shipped my item very quickly, and I'm proud to own one of their products.

Worth it.
Peter Park from CA wrote on August 10, 2015:

I bought this magnifier with their standard mount for my ar15. I use it for recreational longer range shooting for my eotech.eotech.eotech.the build quality and all that is decent, and very usable. Could you find. better? Of course.. But how many of those cost you over $100? This magnifier is definitely worth your money if you are looking to extend your range at the shooting range. I was able to hit 400 yards at targets about the size of a human head with not much of a problem. Thanks primaryarms! Fyi.. Their customer service is GREAT and i appreciated them replying quickly to my questions.

Really like my 6X
Jason Griffore from N/A wrote on August 10, 2015:

The 6X sits right behind my PA M4 on my Rock River AR. The clarity is good for a budget optic. The eye relief is fairly short, but with a 5.56 that's not that big of a deal. What really impressed me was that even with a "budget" setup, from a rest I have no problem nailing clay pigeons out to 350+yds. In fact, soon I plan on purchasing a Primary Arms 4-16X44 for that rifle, and will put the M4 6X setup on a lighter upper for use in some two-gun matches. Thanks for good products/prices for guys like me who don't have much disposable income to spend on gear. There's nothing I like more than having someone "talk smack" about their setup that cost 2-3 times more than mine, only to take the "Pepsi Challenge" against me and my "cheap" gear and leave the range having learned a valuable lesson about skill/experience versus fat pockets. As long as there are companies like yours, guys like me will always be able to take the "gear snobs" to school. Thanks again from a LIFETIME customer!

Service is great product has issues

The 6x magnifier is a bit blurry, but that's ok for the price point. Perhaps it is not totally compatible with my red dot sight. I originally bought the quick detach flip mount. This mount is either not designed properly or is not manufactured properly. As is, this mount will not grip the rail without moving up and down. Primary Arms graciously worked with me and ended up replacing it with the regular screw flip to the side mount which is fine product.

Great Product!

First things first, don't listen to the reviews about hitting yourself in the eye due to eye relief, employ your weapon correctly and it is not an issue. Five stars for the product, but not for Tech Support. Was told to order the wrong mount, but did not (see below). Ordered and shipped the same day. Received it two days later. The magnifier is clear. It is a great product. Took it to the range the day after receiving it and put about 100 rounds out with no issues. Reticle centers easily in the magnifier. Eye relief is perfect if you fire with your nose to the charging handle. The only complaint is when I called to ask which F2S mount I should purchase to use with an EOTech 553, I was told to get the regular height. After reading the specs listed on center of the mount and measuring the center of my reticle from the rail, I knew that I needed the tall height mount and ordered the correct one.

Okay for the Money
Michael A. Escude from N/A wrote on August 10, 2015:

The magnifier is easy to adjust and mount. The only downside is the magnification causes the red dot to cluster. In other words, you see several red dots clustering together. I found that if you use the magnifier to "zero" with, concentrate on one dot of the cluster and always focus on that dot. Works fine from there. Just takes a little mental discipline.

I purchased this PA 6x Magnifier with a PA STD height Flip to Side mount to go behind a PA AA Battery Multi Reticle Red Dot and it's a perfect fit! The glass on this 6x is so clear I see no reason to spend over $550 for a different name brand that is only 3x. My Mossberg MMR Tactical came from the factory with a quad rail which has a top rail that runs from end to end that gives the ability to run my red dot and magnifier as far back as possible while my rear Magpul BUIS sits nicely underneath. Centering the red dot is simple by using a flat head screwdriver or knife. I highly recommend this 6x magnifier and will most likely purchase another one for my other rifle.

Great Magnifier Good Mount

I bought PA's 6x Magnifier to go with my PA MicroDot and as always PA's service was great, and shipping was fast. The magnifier offer a crystal clear image and PA's Standard Height FTS mount is a nice and sturdy platform. The mount was a bit resistant when trying to engage the FTS feature at first but after a couple uses it moves and locks in place with ease. The entire optic system is mounted to my S&W MP-15 and after 200 rounds at the range the magnifier and mount performed flawlessly. Held zero, tight groups etc. PA is a great option for optics at a fraction of the price of an eotech or aimpoint model. Please note that if you decide to pair this magnifier with a PA Micro Dot, you must get the micro dot riser for it to line up properly.

Great magnifier at a great price.

Using it with an EOtech EXPS2 and with some adjusting it lines up almost dead center. So far (about 300 rounds of 55 grain .223) the flip to side mount is holding strong, it has a slight bit of wobble but nothing that would be a deal breaker. Great optic, good mount, all for about 1/5 the price of of a matching EOtech. The one con from all the pros: The mount holds more to the middle of the magnifier so there is no room for a rear BUIS, slight issue but again, not at all a deal-breaker for the difference in price.

Great Magnifier

The product build is great. Eye relief is great. Don't let the other rewiews about short eye relief scare you from choosing this product. As a Army veteran, I am used to firing a an M16/M4 and have fired one for 12 years of service. Those who have used the AR/ military platform, as I have will be used to shooting with the tip of your nose on the charging handle because we are taught that gives you the same sight picture every time. If your nose is not touching the charging handle, you need to educate yourself to the proper way to utilize this weapon platform. Excellent magnifier. Don't spend 500 bucks for a name. Buy Primary Arms.

Excellent Magnifier!

I purchased this Magnifier for my EOTech 552 on a CORE 15 M4 Tac Rifle. I also got the PA Flip to Side Mount (Standard Height). PA is awesome about processing and shipping your order, all of my orders have been processed and shipped the same business day. I got the Magnifier and the mount, mated it to my rifle and adjusted the Magnifier so the EOTech is roughly centered. The mount seems very sturdy and the flip to side action is solid. I got out to the range, the 6x Magnifier makes it super easy to see holes on a paper target at 25m. Then I set up a target at 100 yards. No problem hitting and seeing where my shots were impacting! I could not be happier with my purchase, PA sets the standard for customer service, prompt order processing, and quality products at affordable prices. I love my EOTech sight, but I can't see paying $500+ for a 3x magnifier, just to have the EOTech name on the side when you have products like this that exceed their specs for 1/5 the price.

Awesome magnifier, perfect price

I received the 6x magnifier in about 3 days. Very good quality and the switch to side raised mount for eotechs is perfect. The magnifier and mount combo works perfectly with my Eotech EXPS 3. Did I mention the price factor yet? Can't beat the quality for the price.

Pretty good.

I have an EOTech 552 I got a good deal on. It's top notch quality and I wanted to take full advantage its great 1 MOA reticule. The EOTech magnifiers are only a maximum of 4x and I wanted more than that, which brought me to Primary Arms along with some good word of mouth. I must say that what you're getting for the price, which is comparable to other high-power magnifiers, makes Primary Arms an easy decision. I manage to reach out to 200 yards with a 16" carbine with steel case Russian 55gr. no problem. The eye relief is decent but could be better. Although, you should really only expect stellar eye relief out of a much more expensive optic. I've been pleased with PAs service thus far and they actually offer reasonable shipping rates with good old USPS, which is refreshing, not to mention free shipping on many items. If you're in the market for a magnifier and not about to shell out $400+ for such a mundane part, then don't hesitate to buy a Primary Arms.

Good little piece of gear!

Glass is nice and clear, mount is pretty sturdy, wish they had a quick release fts in the tall mount. Magnifier could use more eye relief too. But it is very nice and a great value. Works great sitting behind my eotech exps3.4 Big thanks to PA!

Great with an EoTech! Don't settle for 3x...
Derek from CA wrote on August 10, 2015:

Purchased this 6x magnifier along with the PA Flip to Side QD mount (tall) to put behind my EoTech EXPS 2-2 red dot... WOW. My friend has the G33 (EoTech's 3x magnifier that is multiple times the PA cost) and we both agree that this is the route to go if you want to reach out accurately beyond your default 1x red dot optic. The only criticism I can give (and I feel bad nickel and diming) is that the magnifier is a little bulky which makes it hard to hide a rear BUIS underneath it. I'm a very happy customer and cannot stress how glad I am to have went with more magnification than 3x...

Outstanding Customer Service

I had trouble centering the EoTech reticle in the magnifier filed of view, so I called PA and after a short discussion the CS Rep. offered to send me a new unit to see if that would fix the problem. The new unit arrived in a timely fashion and a return label was included in the box to return the unit I did not use. Turns out the second unit had clarity issues on the edges of the field of view and with more finagling I was able to center the reticle with the first unit, so I returned the second unit.

Brock from SC wrote on August 10, 2015:

Well, I haven't used it to shoot yet, but I took it outside and looked at a few things. First, quality looks excellent. It is VERY clear. I held Eotech up next to it and clarity and everything was exactly the same. I still have no idea why people would buy an eotech unless they just have that much to blow. Or they're going to afganistan. It's a decent looking mount (FTS Mount). It functions great. Very solid when it locks away, so I wouldn't imagine it would move when running. It's spring loaded, and the spring keeps is locked down. Adjustments can center the dot, and it says no re zero needed. POI and POA won't change. The 6X is def more than the 3X, but I was kinda worried it would be so much that I wouldn't like it. It's perfect. If you want more than 3X, but are hesitant, don't be. But this. NOW.

Extremely happy

Using this on a S&W M&P 15 Sport with a EoTech 511. This works perfectly for target practice at 50 to 100 yards. For $138 which includes a swing to side mount, the price can't be beat. Shipping was lighting fast!

Comlpetley Satisfied

I purchased the 6x magnifier with the flip to side mount and I just received it in the mail today. I couldn't be happier with both items. The magnifier looks great, the adjustment knobs work like they should and the image looking through it is crystal clear. The flip to side mount is very sturdy, this is the thing I was worried about most, a flimsy mount that would jostle around when you move. That is not the case with this one, it takes just the right amount of force in order to engage or disengage it. I have not shot with the optic on but I am happy I got the 6x instead of the 3x, that's the point of the flip to side magnifier, to be able to transition to something with some viewing power. I couldn't be happier with my purchase. Thank PA!

Could Use Longer Eye Relief
N/A from CA wrote on August 10, 2015:

The 6X magnifier looks like a solidly built unit with good controls and features. The windage and elevation adjustments to center a red dot are capped and look like they are o-ring sealed at the base. The only problem I can see is that my elevation adjustment is higher than the top of the thread for the cap. This results in the elevation adjustment screw turning if I tighten the cap too much. The optic is clear; but, the eye relief is pretty short. This could be a problem when wearing eye-pro.

affordable and works as advertised

Can't Be Beat For The Money
Jim Corso from OR wrote on August 10, 2015:

This 6x magnifier is packaged nicely and is very well made. And having the ability to adjust the magnifier, so the red dot sight can be centered, is a nice capability. Please keep in mind, if your leaning towards this magnifier. The eye relief is short. With that said. It's a great product with outstanding customer service from PA's.
