Great red dot scope for the price.

Nice, crisp 2MOA red dot. Love the 50k battery life, and that it takes 2032 battery. This thing is a tack driver on my 300bk with 8.5 barrel. The only thing I've never tested is how well it works underwater.

Great Aim point killer.

Great red dot. PA's warranty makes this thing even better.

Excellent red dot, does everything it should.

First one came with battery DOA, which means internal short but i swapped the battery and over looked it. come one month later, I'm out of town for a 3 gun competition and found the thing dead again. I called up PA and they over-night'd me a replacement to the place i was staying at. i was able to zero and run it in the competition that weekend.

Ive since bought several more and only had problems with that one. Bad luck of the draw there, no one is 100% but PA's warranty service makes this thing top of the line.

Amazing!

I'm very impressed with this sight! It's better than what I expected - the glass is clear and the dot is perfect. So perfect in fact that I'd compare it with my Aimpoint compM4 (optically - I'm in the Army). I was very hesitant about buying this sight (figured it was cheap crap) until an Army buddy told me he has three of these (the one that sells for about $90) and is planning to buy more (he is VERY picky about kit). So I bought this one (for the 50,000 hrs) and attached it to an American Defense Micro Mount - Absolute Cowitness quick release (also sold here). Four solid screws attached it plus a little blue loctite. Clamped it on my AR and it was ready to go! I even "whacked" the sight a few times pretty hard with my hand to see if the sight would break - nope. I am really quite surprised by the quality of this optic, I suppose we'll see in the long run. Buy one, you won't be disappointed! If you are, PA will take it back and make it right. Win, win!

I love this red dot. No need for Eotech and Aimpoint anymore

by -

I just purchased this red dot and holy hell is it amazing. I opened the box and there was a couple hex tools lint cloth some loctite and the red dot. I turned it on and was in awe. We will be torture testing this and I also will be making a video unboxing because this is truly an amazing red dot for the price. MAKE SURE YOU BUY THE RISER. I DIDNT AND AM ORDERING NOW.

Excellent budget red dot

by

This is an excellent red dot for the money. The glass is clear and the dot is very easy to pick up. It remembers the brightness setting when you turn it off and on again which is nice. My Eotech that cost about 3x as much as this one can't even do that. Fits like a glove on AK rifles equipped with a side rail using the RS Regulate 301M and AKML mounts. My first trip to the range I had it dialed-in in no time at all.

Need a mount now.

by

Should have included the micro mount with the red dot really can't use it with a AR unless you have the micro mount. I had seen the pictures with the mount did not see anything that indicated it did not come with it I assumed (which is my fault) it came with the red dot. 3 stars because i have not taken it out to the range until my mount comes in but so far so good.

Great Red Dot

by

Bought this Red Dot from Primary Arms in front of my Primary Arms magnifier. I also bought the absolute co witness mount. I have the magnifier on a flip to side mount so I can use my iron sights. The absolute co witness mount did not let the magnifier and red dot match up perfectly so I exchanged for the 1/3 co witness. This matches up great. The Red Dot from Primary Arms is great. At higher setting the dot gets a little starry but so does my trijicon. Try the Primary Arms stuff and you can't go wrong.

Pinpoint accurate

by

I have purchased three so far. One on my Ak my Tavor and Sub2000. Dial it on on a bench or rest and it is flawless. Battery life so far has been awesome. AK has been on since January and it's still going. I will never buy another sight. The 2 moa makes smiley faces a breeze. Haha.

Nice RD; Dot not truly round

by

I use this sight on a target 22 pistol for league shooting. Sighted in the RDS at 50 ft last evening. Was on paper right off but 6" too high and right at the 10:00 o'clock position. Took about 30 rounds before I was convinced the dot was zeroed. Previously had a bushnell TRS 25 that failed but was VERY accurate. The rheostat on my TRS 25 failed after 2 yrs. The dot on this PA RDS got a bit distracting as it did not appear round. Had to keep refreshing my eyes to see if it was me or the sight. Tried it at several brightness settings and abve 5 or 6 clicks on brightness setting star effect is too great for Bullseye shooting IMHO. When shooting at a bullseye the size of a dime the RD shape matters. Will continue to use it to see if I can adjust to the dot shape. Appears very sturdy and well machined. Was very attracted to the battery life and pushbuttons.

Just doesn't hold up on Ak Ultimak

by

First one I had lasted about 6 months mounted on my Ak Ultimak rail. Then randomly the rear glass fell off while firing my weapon. Contacted PA and had a replacement in less than a week. I then went to the range to zero the replacement in. 30 rounds down range and then had a random zero shit. Upon attempting to adjust the windage and elevation the screws were very hard to turn to adjust windage and elevation. I am now on my third advanced micro red dot. If this one fails I will not request a replacement. I will request a refund and go another route. While PA customer service has been spot on and been very helpful. I'm really hoping the third time around this works. But do not trust this optic if my life depended on it. I do not suggest running this optic on a Ultimak rail based on my experience.

bad glare in sunlight! 2 dots

by

Bought one of these several months ago and just got around to shooting it a couple weeks ago... when the sun hits it you get a bad glare and double dot.. besides that I'm happy with it. Seems to be well made with good adjustments on the brightness settings. The dot is very crisp and clean too. Love it except for the double dot and glare

Great micro red dot !

by

I have had one of these now for a year mounted on a LaRue Tactical High Mount AR15 I can remove and re-mount and nothing lost in accuracy. This is a great Micro Red Dot. With the LaRue mount total weight is 6 oz. The staff a Primary Arms is the best you will ever find anywhere !

Pleasantly surprised

by

I read a ton of great reviews but a friend of mine had this same RDS and had a horrible red streaking across most of the sight. Decided to take a gamble and it paid off. Mine is crystal clear with a crisp dot. Took it to the range and it was rock solid through about 250 rounds.

Nice red dot.

First of all I like the customer service they listen to you and solved my issue quickly. Made online purchase and picked up at store. I will be returning for future purchases. Thank you Primary Arms!

1 year old

by

I bought mine over a year ago. Mounted it to my 10.5" sbr with an American Defense Mount and set the brightness to 5. I haven't turned it off over the last year and have trained with it for the last year. It hasn't died or let me down yet. Over all very happy. I did put a fresh battery in at the 12 month mark but I do that with my Aimpoint pro too.

pretty good red dot

by

I mounted this on my AK have been to the range 2 times with it was a little skeptical at first since when I wasn't able to get it zeroed in but it was the rail that was giving me a problem a little loctite and problem solved . Put about 600 rounds down range and no mess ups yet held the zero perfect was hitting bulls-eye at 50 yards. I like it so much I'm going to buy another to give to my women so she can shoot her AR. No complaints from me.

Budget Red dot look no further

by

I purchased the red dot around Aug 15 turned it on and have not shut it off since. I have not had any problems with the red dot turning off at all. I had taken it to a 4 day rifle class in Oct at Valor Ridge and put about 2k rounds thu it and no hiccups and we had pretty crappy weather it rained for about 3 of the 4 days. It performed flawlessly. I borrowed it to a friend for another rifle class we attended and had trouble taking it off. I had too much Loctite on it and had to beat it off it flung across the room and landed on the concrete and was still running like a top. I have about 3.5k rounds thu it now and still not had any issues.

Primary Arms Advanced Micro Dot - WOW!

by

I own 2 of these. I bought my 1st one over a year ago for my 10.5" pistol build. I have been so happy with it when it came time to pick out an optic for my next build I decided to go with it again. I have an AimPoint PRO on one of my other AR's and I like everything about it except the size and weight (and the $400 price tag). If you are looking for a reliable 2 MOA red dot - look no further! YOU JUST CAN'T BEAT IT AT THIS PRICE POINT! I use the American Defense exact co-witness quick detach mount on both of mine.

Very happy with my PA Advanced Micro Dot

by

Received my Primary Arms Advanced Micro Dot with Radical Firearms Mount today. Couldn't be happier. After having used Eotechs and a Aimpoint Comp M4 I really like the small size. It's not bulky or heavy. Went straight to the range and it performed like a champ. Had very little adjustment to get zero. Once there it stayed for over 200 rounds. Thanks Primary Arms!

PA Micro

by

Bought it because I heard great things about it. I liked the size weight and profile but wish the brightness adjustment weren't buttons. The buttons on mine broke so you couldn't not turn it on or change the brightness but PA replaced it immediately. I decided to sell the replacement rather than keep it.

Loved a friends ADS - will buy as soon as a 4 MOA is offered!

The jury is still out

by

Mine failed during its very first use. After about 100 rounds it just stopped working. These things happen so I'm going through the process of replacing it and hoping the next one holds up over time. For the short time it was working the reticle was good enough and I had no complaints.
