Good

but...I live in a state where magazine capacity is restricted to fifteen rounds. There are loopholes around the law but if I had to defend me and my family I want to keep it legal. That said I have an IWI Tavor with a flashlight for home defense and fully loaded ten round pmags don't seat with the bolt closed. I bought this so I don't have to go up against a home invader with only nine rounds. When I got it installed the fifteenth round was so tight that my feed lips started to move. It's good and might work better with a bigger magazine but I have not tested that. Yet.

Plus 4 capacity

Got these to make the magpul 10 round mags into “Colorado compliant” 15 round mags. They look great! They feed reliably. However, they only add 4 rounds to the 10 round gen M3 magpul magazines.... don’t see how they would add 5 rounds to the 20, 30, or 40 round mags either, but maybe.... So, 14 rounds is still way better than only 10! The quality is worth 5 stars, however, they only hold 4! Thus a 4 star review for a product that SI advertises as +5

Nope Four

Neat unit, fits my pmags well, but tricky to install but no biggie. I'm also unaware of anything better for the price. But that said, I put one on my 30rd mag and there's no way I'm getting a 35th round in. And with 34 it's really tight, harder to insert the magazine on a closed bolt then a standard 30 with 30. Also of course with 1 round the spring tension is noticeably lower.

Haven't shot them yet, but these can't be great things for reliability.

Good product, questionable advertising

Works as a +4, not a +5, but still nice to have additional capacity without going to the length of a 40-round PMAG. The locking roll pins it comes with don't seem to be necessary; considering how tight they snap on and that they haven't moved at all after emptying and dropping two of them, I probably won't even bother with the pins.
The only two cons are (as previously mentioned) that they hold one round less than advertised and that even with only +4, they can be extremely difficult to lock into the mag catch with the bolt closed (of the two I purchased, one is fairly difficult, the other is the same as a normal 30-round PMAG. It may just be the difference in the two springs). Still definitely worth the money if you want a few extra rounds per magazine.

Mixed capacity

This is a little weird. I’ve ordered a few of these elsewhere a while back and they gave me the +5 to the mag capacity but when I ordered from here I could only fit 3-4 rounds. Maybe Primary Arms has a bad batch of these or something has gone wrong with the manufacturing at Strike Industries or there needs to be some fitting that needs to be done that we don’t know about.
Anyway they did extend the capacity of my 20 round AR mags and I think they look pretty cool on the 20 round mags. They’re reasonably durable for the price and easy to install. I did not need to use the roll pins that were included in the product packaging.
I’m only a little disappointed that I didn’t get the full +5 like my other EMP plates
