Not for serious use

by

This safety didn't last through using during a basic rifle class. one side of the safety slid off during use. We found the piece and couldn't get it back on. The rifle had to go offline for the rest of the class. Luckily I brought a spare, or this safety would have cost me A LOT of training opportunity.

<br>Push-pin retention design is very weak, and I wouldn't recommend it.

Worked just as well as one could possibly expect, looks good.

I have no idea why this has two one star reviews. Mine was a bit of a PITA to install on the dovetail, but once I mastered the technique it slipped right on and hasn't fallen off and I don't see how it COULD fall off with out pushing the pin in and sliding it back off. The fit was fine, no side to side play. It went on a Cross Machine and Tool Ambi billet receiver and looks like it belongs there. I came back to get another one for the sale price and saw these reviews and figured I needed to counter them. I noticed that mine seemed to fall off easily BUT I had not actually managed to get it on correctly in the first place. Another is going in my cart right now. For use on a 619 buck Fortis Defense .308 ambi receiver. Now would I do that if this was junk?

Garbage

This thing is trash. It is a definite downgrade from the standard mil-spec safety. I would never buy one of these again.

New Design Sucks.

I had an older Troy Ambi-Safety Selector lever back in 2011 and the fit and function worked flawlessly. I recently bought two new Troy Ambi-Safety Selectors for two AR15 lowers and was very disappointed with the new design/version. First the fit is very loose once installed as there is too much side play. Second the long lever isn't secured when on and just falls off. This happened on both new Troy selector safety levers! The dove tail section had to be machine improperly. I requested a RMA from Troy and will wait for their response and update this review if I can. At this time I highly recommend not to get this product.
