Vortex U dropped the scope on this one!

by

Chose this mount over the Burris AR P.E.P.R. cause i have the Burris already, so I got the 3-9X50 crossfire Vortex with their mount instead. Wish I'd just got a PA extended mount and found the scope separate. This mount is a let down Vortex! darn good glass for the $$ in your crossfire but the china made mount @ 7oz's is a bit of a Behemoth. Shouldn't have a problem holding a scope on a picattenny rail. For that matter you can use it for a tow mount on your 4X4

Heavy mounts for trailer hitches...

by

I have a couple of these on ar's along with the Burris P.E.P.R. mounts. They are both good mounts that do their job well. In the last review by Reg, Reg remarked on how heavy the mount seems to be. I wonder if he did his research. The Primary Arms mount comes in at a wopping 8.2 oz, while the vortex mounts come in at 6.7 oz, and the Burris mounts come in at over 8 oz. So wouldn't this make the Vortex mounts the lightest? One of these days I'll have to weigh both mounts to find out for sure, who is the fattest?
