The Forged AR-15 Upper Receiver is stripped and ready for your next custom AR build. ZEV begins with high-quality 7075-T6 aluminum forgings and final machines them to better than MIL-SPEC dimensions held to ±.001" tolerances. This brings you maximum compatibility with MIL-SPEC and aftermarket parts and accessories. The ZEV Upper Receiver offers superb strength and versatility for building an AR-15 configured exactly the way you want it.

Not bad, but not amazing

Waited months for this to come back in stock so I could match my Zev lower. Looks and feels great, but I’m not sure about the fit. Where it attaches to the pivot and takedown pin is super tight. Not sure if lower is to small or upper is to big out of spec. Took more force that it should to put together and separate them. But who knows witch one is the culprit. I did expect more from a Zev product though

Excellent Upper

The fit on this upper is tight and that is just perfect with me. If you hate slop in your rifle, grab yourself this upper and a matching lower. Aside from great fit and a tension screw system to make it even better, the upper and lower both have a gorgeous finish. Please do note that installing some barrels into this upper is a squeeze. Grab yourself a heat gun and warm up those threads before attempting to index - you'll thank me later. Awesome product, awesome markings. Would definitely buy another.
