17 design rocks

For less than a law tactical folding adapter you can get the entire lower receiver with integrated folding ability. Sick!

Built like a tank

Solid build from a solid Company in my home state of Oklahoma. Definitely would recommend.

Best lower on the market

I’ve bought 5 of these they are awesome I’m converting all my other lowers over to these and will be selling the others best folding Mech I’ve seen on any lower, or chassis system yet

Great Product

ITs a wonderful and thoughtful design very sturdy folding mechanism,
just one flaw and that is that the BCG starts to wear down the buffer that they provide but 17 design seems to know about it just get in contact with them and they will send the newly updated buffer.

So far so good

Seems to be well made. I like the fact that the whole buffer sits in the tube, unlike the other folding stock adaptors, have a piece that fits in the end of your BCG, which could fall out. My only digs are, it seems strange they put the rear take down pivot pin under the grip. Also the mags do not just drop out like my other ARs. It did seem to losses up after firing the gun. All and all good purchase.

Great lower!

Loving this lower so far! Was going to buy a law folder or two until I came across these. Grabbed 2 of them. The fit and finish is great. No complaints so far.

Solid folder

The folder itself works great as intended. My one main complaint is the proprietary buffer. It really limits you when you start trying to tune your rifle to work with suppressors, etc. For this reason, I still very much prefer to use my Law Tactical folder so I can still run the buffer I want, which is usually a JP SCS.
Pros: Lightweight (compared to a similar lower running a Law.
Good finish
A little more compact than running a Law.
Cons: Proprietary buffer
Not crazy about the buffer retainer pin (also proprietary)
Very tight fit on PMags. To the point they are hard to seat fully and
take some tugging to drop out of the magwell.
I was hoping to use this on my "go-to" 6.8 spc upper but for the reasons above I will just put this on a spare rifle to throw in the truck, utv, etc.

I didn't do a ton of research on this lower. I like the idea of an integrated folding lower over an add on component. Honestly, the price was more than right and I have no regrets.
I particularly like that I didn't install the folding mechanism, I just built a lower as per usual. My only issue with the lower is that I'm a BAD Lever kinda guy, but the lever doesn't function correctly because the billet lower has around an extra 1/8 inch of addition billet contour material around the bolt catch and magazine areas. This prevents the BAD lever from freely moving to lock the bolt to the rear on an empty magazine. The lever does work to manually lock the bolt back and release it.
So my 17 Design folding lower is BAD Leverless and I'm OK with it.

Very well made

Great receiver. Threaded bolt catch pin, threaded buffer detent.

Works Great!!

We went on a camping trip over labor day weekend. Having the integrated folding stock made it extremely easy to stow the rifle in the truck with everything else. I have had mine since March 2021. After running over 700 rounds through this rifle, it is still tight and works great. I highly recommend this lower it you want to have a folding stock on your AR15.
