Sling = good. Mount = junk.

The sling itself is seems to be great. The bolt-on sling adapter is garbage. I bought two of these and neither stayed in place. The pull off of the castle nut just by hanging the rifle. What good is it if it can’t support the weight of the rifle?
U.S.-made or U.S.-assembled?

The sling feels very solid and well-made; the quality appears to be very good. What surprised me though when I first opened the packaging is that emblazoned on one of the sling’s short rubber sleeves (in capital letters) is “Huangpu” -- as in Huangpu District, Shanghai, [ Communist ] China.
<br>Although Guntec USA products are touted as being U.S.-made (their website states, “Quality Products … All our products are made in the United States of America.”), the sling I received appears to contain foreign-sourced parts. That said, the sling is very nice and seems to be a good value.

The sling itself is pretty good. The adjustable length can accommodate many people's preferences, and the QD hook design and adapter is pretty solid. The main issue is the hook itself, or rather the finish. Of course the hook is going to be under tension and rub against whatever it's hooked to. The problem is the hook's finish doesn't hold up at all. After just a few minutes of playing around with it, getting the right length, etc, the hook has lost nearly all its black finish on the inside, making it look marred and mostly silver. There are also little metal shavings all over my rifle from the hook rubbing on the adapter. This isn't that big of a problem but it does seem like an oversight on Guntec's part. On the flip side though the QD hook does seem to work well for connecting and disconnecting.

I've used a Tactical Tailor 3 point since forever and wanted to try a single point. It seems well made with a quick unlock connector and I have no concerns with it. The big question is whether I prefer the single point or the 3point.
