Noveske Rifleworks has been around since 2001 when they were founded by John Noveske in Grants Pass, Oregon. They are most popular for their high-quality military and competition grade rifles like the N4 PDW series, the OMW carbine, or some of the more notable models like the Infidel and Varmageddon. However, they produce more than just rifles with interesting names, they also produce a large variety of AR-15 parts with interesting names of their own. Parts like the Flaming Pig flash suppressor for either 5.56 or 7.62 rifles or the Switchblock adjustable gas block. They are constantly designing and manufacturing new products and rifles like the N6 AR-10, NSR free float handguard, and an integrally suppressed rifle. They definitely take pride in the products they create and stand by their slogan, “all American badass rifle company.”
KX3 Flash Suppressor
The KX3 Flaming Pig Flash Suppressor is a muzzle device designed to reduce the enormous flash of short barrel rifles (SBRs) or AR pistols as well as direct the muzzle blast forward instead of to the sides. It also has the added benefit of increased back pressure that helps to reliably cycle the bolt on weapons with extremely short gas systems. However, the KX3 is still a great option for any length rifle especially if used indoors. The reduction of the sideways muzzle blast makes it easy to stand next to at the range without getting hit by a loud concussion with every shot. The Flaming Pig is made for both 5.56 and 7.62 rifles and even made a slim version to fit under free float handguards.
KX5 Slim Flash Suppressor
The KX5 Flash suppressor comes with all the same features as the KX3 but with a slimmer diameter to fit underneath the NSR free float handguards as well as other handguards. These highly effective flash hiders are also great for shooting at night or hunting with night vision because they reduce the amount of light produced by firing a shot which can be blinding and disorienting. These muzzle devices are made from steel and have a black nitride finish that increases corrosion resistance as well as making them easier to clean. They install to either a ½x28 or 5/8x24 thread pattern and come with a crush washer to ensure they won’t back off over time.
They also produce a large assortment of AR-15 barrels in different calibers, lengths, and profiles. The 16” Recon barrel is designed for accurate shooting without the need of an extremely long barrel. The thicker profile decreases the amount of barrel vibration when a round is fired, resulting in a bullet that leaves the muzzle on a more consistent path. The 1:7 twist rate also helps accuracy because it can stabilize heavier bullets that won’t be as significantly affected by wind. On the opposite side of barrel design is the 8.5” 300 AAC Blackout barrel. This barrel is specifically designed for shooting subsonic ammunition with a suppressor at close ranges. It is tuned to work with the backpressure created by attaching a sound suppressor to the muzzle, so that it will properly cycle and lock open on the last round. This barrel is a great option for building an SBR or pistol and would look great with a free float handguard.
NSR M-LOK Handguard
The NSR line of AR-15 handguards come in multiple lengths to match up with their barrels and have a large enough internal diameter to fit around the low-profile gas blocks. These handguards are free floated to help increase accuracy and only have a single picatinny rail on the top to help decrease weight. There is plenty of room for attaching lights, forward grips, or bipods with the multiple M-LOK attachment points at the 3, 6, and 9’o clock positions. The NSR free float handguard comes with a steel barrel nut and four mounting screws to ensure that it is locked up tight to the receiver without needing to worry about it coming loose and losing zero with iron sights. This M-LOK handguard has a 1.35” inside diameter for compatibility with most low-profile gas blocks, however, the Switchblock does not fit underneath.
The Switchblock is an adjustable gas system designed for use on suppressed rifles. Luckily, the gas systems on their barrels correspond with the handguard lengths to make sure the adjustment settings are easily reachable. The Switchblock is manufactured from 17-4ph stainless steel and has a durable matte black nitride finish to protect it from corrosion for many years to come. This clamp-on gas block comes in multiple variations depending on barrel length and is tuned for use with specific calibers. The Switchblock also comes with a preinstalled gas tube for easy installation. Alternatively, they sell fully assembled rifles that feature a lot of components previously mentioned.
AR Style Rifles
They have a full line of rifles, carbines, and pistols chambered in various calibers designed for a wide range of applications from self-defense to long range shooting and everything in between. Possibly the most popular in their line-up is the N4 PDW, a short barrel rifle that features the Gen 4 billet receiver set, the NHR Keymod or M-LOK handguard, and a PDW style stock. The Gen 4 N4 also features upgrades like a single stage trigger and a suppressor-ready muzzle brake. AR-15 complete upper receiver kits are also a great way to get a high-quality rifle. The Infidel 5.56 upper utilizes a 416R steel barrel with a pinned and welded KX5 flash hider to meet the 16” barrel requirement for non-NFA firearms. This complete upper receiver assembly comes with an ambidextrous brand marked Super Badass charging handle and bolt carrier group.
They also manufacture a variety of small parts like the TRX QD sling swivel mount for Alpha rails and KeyMod rails. The short throw ambidextrous safety selector is also a great upgrade as it allows for fast activation from either the right or left side. Another practical upgrade is the 1913 picatinny rail sections for all their KeyMod handguards. Noveske Rifleworks is committed to designing and building high-quality rifles and AR-15 components for customers all around America.
