Because of the sturdy steel design, there is significantly less risk of damage as there are no additional pieces or hinges that add liability to some scope mounts. The DD ring system is suitable for both left and right hand actions and are manufactured to withstand heavy use and adjustment. These scope rings are manufactured to accommodate windage adjustment, so rear windage screws are unneeded for Leupold’s simple, secure mounting system.
