Great looking product
by John
I would like to start off by saying that I’ve ordered stuff from multiple companies and Primary Arms has to be my absolute favorite. I ordered it on Sunday, it shipped out Monday, and I got it on Thursday. I installed this product on my AR-15 and it’s very simple and easy to install. It looks very slick on the AR. I haven’t torqued it all the way and I haven’t shot it so I’m not able to give it a full 5 stars, but otherwise it is a great product for the money.
Catch it while on sale!

Can't go wrong for the price. Put this one on my 3rd build. Nice design. Like the barrel nut because it's notched out for the two securing bolts so it won't move forward. The tabs on the top back keep it secure against the upper so it won't rotate.
It's not a perfectly machined handguard, but then again, the sale price of $39.99 was too great to pass up.
You wont be disappointed

Has a clean cut, the color is very well done, and everything went together easily and securely. The rail is a little heavier than other 15" handguards I have held, but not excessive by any means. Really solid item - cannot go wrong with this!
Does Everything Right

This rail is awesome for the price you pay. It has a steel barrel nut unlike the aluminum nuts sold on other budget brands. You don't have to worry about hitting the proper torque. The rail clamps on to the barrel nut instead of being required to shim and align. I would install with the gun upside down on a flat surface. The first time I installed the first unit there was a little bit of rise to it, but the second time I used a straight edge and then got smart and put it upside down on the bench. The only reason it doesn't get that 5th star is due to some very minor imperfections. Sharp, unfinished edges etc... Would not hesitate to buy a dozen more...
Good Where it Works

Great looking handguard, light, no rough edges, steel barrel nut and super price. The anti-rotation tabs won’t allow it to fit some uppers (Bear Creek side charge for one).
Proprietary barrel nut
by Eric -
Purchased this item to put on my AR. I have a standard barrel nut that I thought this hand-guard would work for. This product description doesn't mention that it uses a proprietary barrel nut. For most builds, that wouldn't be a deal-breaker, but I needed a guard that uses the standard barrel nut.
Still gets five stars, because the hand guard appeared well built, and would have worked fine. The shipping was fast, and the RMA process was easy!
Get what you pay for

OK as a cheap handguard. Really light. I bought two on sale.
Useless for attaching M-Lok accessories. The walls are so thin, the barrel of the nut protrudes out of the slot by .023" or .6mm. The barrel of the nut bottoms out on the accessory (in my case, a sling swivel mount) before it tightens down.
Great handguard for a great price

This fit my Palmetto upper perfectly. I had no issues with alignment. I have not put accessories on it yet. It is lightweight and looks good.

Great hand guard for the price. No rough edges, well built and light weight.
Great for the price. Solid

Great looking handguard. Lighter and sturdier than it looks. Don't over torque the screws. Could have better mount hardware if I had to give it a negative.
