The buffer rattled and the spring moving inside the tube is noisy. I have not actually shot it to see for sure. May have to upgrade to a heavier buffer.

This is indeed a mil-spec buffer tube in the sense that it is not angled in the rear, but after installing, most stocks will not be able to fully collapse due to the threads being slightly larger in diameter to the diameter of the tube itself. I'm not able to close any of my Magpul stocks completely with this buffer tube, as the threads will not allow it to lock onto the first locking hole. Get a different one.

Very poor inside surface finish, very rough. Also, my Magpul MOE Fixed Carbine Stock would not fit nice onto this tube without modification.

High quality buffer tube and heavy duty buffer. Great feel once assembled.

Great service

Horrible tube. Like other reviewers have stated the threads are too long and will NOT let Magpul stocks collapse to the first position. Tried it with a new Hogue stock and same result. Also, you cannot stake the castle nut as there aren't any notches for staking.
