Good solid BCG
by Michael
Received my Aero Precision 308 BCG in the Nitride finish. It was on sale. Beautiful solid BCG. Finish was very nice. Very happy with my purchase. Thanks Primary Arms.

not impressed with this bcg at all will not buy again did not run well in my riffle at all. jams misfeeds and stovepipes non-stop problems. damaged my riffle as well. had to replace the buffer tube. going though the rma now and I'm not impressed at all Primary arms pushed it off on to Aero's have not heard from them at all it's been over a week. ordered a fail zero bolt and have had no problems. will not use Aero's BCGs again it's a 215 dollar paper weight
Constant failures to extract/eject
by Travis
On my second Aero Nitride BCG with extraction and ejection issues. First one wouldn't eject at all; nearly 100% failures. Aero replaced with a nickel boron BCG that runs great after months of back and forth. Second nitride one runs about 70%, so still not good. Aero is going to send a new one. Working with Aero CS has been better this time, although I have come to the conclusion I will never buy one of their nitride BCGs again. The nickel ones have visibly different extractors and ejectors that work much better. Maybe the NB BCGs are made by a different mfr?
Update
by Phillip -
Aero's did replace the BCG with a new one same problems. Gas rings are to tight replaced with JP Enterprises Enhanced One-Piece Gas Ring and now it's working no problems. still a pain to have to replace parts right out of the box. As far as I can tell Primary Arms did not send any thing to Areo's like they said they did I had to open an RMA with Aero's myself. No big deal just a pain could have it done a week earlier if not for that.
Works Well
by David
After reading a number of poor reviews, I have to give my 2 cents. This Aero Precision 308 BCG was placed in one of my builds in Aero receiver set behind Aero 20 inch barrel and shoots under an inch at 100 yards with both Remington and Winchester factory ammo. No malfunction and throws brass in pile out to the side like it should.
Great 308 BCG
by Steel Arms Industries
This is a great BCG, never had an issue cycling or ejecting shells. We have built several 308 DPMS/SR25 rifles using this BCG. Built 3 Aero rifles using M5 Receivers, using 18 inch Aero Barrel, 18 inch and 1`6 inch Rainier Barrels. Built 4 308 using Matrix Receivers with Faxon 18 inch, 20 Inch Barrels and Ballistic Advantage barrels. Some rifles with A2 stocks and some with Carbine. Worked perfect once you understand the difference between AR15 and 308 Parts.
Don't run these dry, keep them wet to break in
Don't run Ar 15 Bolt Catches, they don't engage the Magazine properly and will push the Bolt Catch into the BCG causing it to ride over the rounds when chambering or extracting. Use Aero 308 Bolt Catches
Understand the difference between AR15 Buffers and 308 Buffers and springs. If you use an Armalite 8 inch Carbine buffer Tube, this requires a standard Carbine Buffer, if you try to run a short 308 buffer, the BCG will damage the Buffer Tube.
Keep it wet and shoot on
Great running Aero BCG

Great running bcg from aero. no issues what so ever, been running for right at a year. Always love aero stuff.
Excellent BCG for an AR10
by DS
Very happy with it, matched it with M5 upper and lower, Aero Gas block, CMC 2.5 and a 6.5 Crd Criterion 22in. Almost all Aero parts. Worked flawlessly from the first shot. I was surprised, haven't been that lucky in the past with AR10's.
Great
