The Aero Precision M4E1 Enhanced AR-15 Stripped Upper is a one-piece forging that combines the handguard mounting hardware with the upper receiver. This design allows for additional lightening cuts, resulting in increased weight savings and improved cooling efficiency. The upper is made from a 7075-T6 aluminum forging machined to MIL-SPEC and finished with a durable hardcoat anodized finish. It is compatible with all MIL-SPEC AR-15/M16 components and removes the forward assist for further weight savings.
Note: This upper receiver is not compatible with piston kits.

Installation is easy, with the barrel assembly inserted into the M4E1 upper and tightened using the provided barrel nut and wrench. The rail can then be slid on and secured with rail screws. This upper receiver is compatible with Aero Precision Enhanced and Quantum Series handguards, as well as most BAR-system handguards. It supports barrels up to 1" in diameter and features M4 feedramps, a black anodized finish, and is machined for .250” takedown/pivot pins.

Got this upper for a precision rifle project, specifically to aid in the stiffness of a longer barrel. I believe it'll work well. The extra weight of the enhanced barrel mount is of no concern with a PRS setup.
