This upper with the Aero hand guard feels like a monolithic upper when assembled! This upper fit well with my spikes lower. The only con is the forward assist retention pin. It backed out after about 100 rounds. I removed and added a drop of red lock tite I don't expect that to be an issue again. This upper will be the standard for all of my future builds!
I just finished a build for a customer with this receiver. We took it to the range today and were very happy with the performance of the rifle. Pros: The free float hand guard is solid! The integrated mounting system really locks the two pieces together as if they were a single unit. The internal barrel nut makes gas tube installation a breeze with no interference issues. All thread were clean and required no tap work before install. The only con I have is that the allen screw holding the forward assist backed out after about 60 rounds. We took it back to the shop and hit it with some lock-tite. I don't expect any further issues with that. This is a great upper and will be the standard for all my future builds.
As always Primary Arms have great products and VERY fast shipping. Thank you!
Wrench sucks, everything else is good.

Just got the upper receiver. Beautiful coating and very clean for the pruce i got. Only issue is that the wrench provided sucks. The 2 contact points does not even align correctly to the barrel nut. For the amount of money paid for and brand, one would think everything worked as it should.
