The Aero Precision M4E1 Enhanced AR-15 Upper Receiver Assembly incorporates the handguard mounting hardware with the upper receiver into a single forging. Increased weight savings and improved cooling efficiency are made possible by additional lightening cuts afforded by this stronger one-piece design. Crafted from a 7075-T6 aluminum forging machined to MIL-SPEC, the upper is then finished in a durable flat dark earth Cerakote. Compatible with all MIL-SPEC AR-15/M16 components.

Installation is a breeze. Simply insert your barrel assembly into the M4E1 upper then tighten it using the provided barrel nut and wrench. Next, slide your rail on and tighten down the rail screws. Within minutes you have an assembled upper receiver.

NOTE: Compatible with Aero Precision Enhanced and Quantum Series handguards. Also fits most BAR-system handguards. Barrel nut and wrench are included. This upper receiver is not piston-kit compatible. Supports barrels up to 1" in diameter.

Great system!

This upper with the Aero hand guard feels like a monolithic upper when assembled! This upper fit well with my spikes lower. The only con is the forward assist retention pin. It backed out after about 100 rounds. I removed and added a drop of red lock tite I don't expect that to be an issue again. This upper will be the standard for all of my future builds!

Great Receiver!

I just finished a build for a customer with this receiver. We took it to the range today and were very happy with the performance of the rifle. Pros: The free float hand guard is solid! The integrated mounting system really locks the two pieces together as if they were a single unit. The internal barrel nut makes gas tube installation a breeze with no interference issues. All thread were clean and required no tap work before install. The only con I have is that the allen screw holding the forward assist backed out after about 60 rounds. We took it back to the shop and hit it with some lock-tite. I don't expect any further issues with that. This is a great upper and will be the standard for all my future builds.

Great Product

As always Primary Arms have great products and VERY fast shipping. Thank you!

Wrench sucks, everything else is good.

Just got the upper receiver. Beautiful coating and very clean for the pruce i got. Only issue is that the wrench provided sucks. The 2 contact points does not even align correctly to the barrel nut. For the amount of money paid for and brand, one would think everything worked as it should.

Love these!

The Aero M4E1 Enhanced uppers are excellent in my opinion. Paired with the Enhanced handgaurd makes for a rock solid fit. Looks and feels great. Aero products are tough to beat for the $.

Easy install, a bit heavy.

Very easy to build. Seems a bit heavy compared to a normal upper. The handguard is pretty thick in diameter (great for a recessed flash can or suppressor I suppose). Seems to be a bit overkill for a normal self defense AR or AR pistol considering the added weight. But I could see this upper potentially shining for a longer range AR build.
