The Aero Precision M5 complete receiver represents a quality lower receiver compatible with any standard .308 components or magazines. Featuring a rear takedown detent hole threaded for a 4-40 set screw, the M5 lower also comes with a bolt catch threaded for a screw pin meaning you won't need a roll pin for this receiver. Very solid, well built. The machining is excellent, I ended up purchasing a second one.
Stock slides back and forth.

Aero does not use an actual mil spec buffer tube. On a standard mil spec buffer tube this stock works just fine (I tried it on other rifles). However since Aero decided to use their own made up tube the stock has forward and backward play which is about a quarter of an inch. It ships in this configuration which is dumb on Aeros part.
You have a couple of options, 3D print a shim, switch to an adjustable stock, or switch the tube.
