In addition, the Flatsider Paddle XR-17 holster body features a forward cant allowing the operator to draw naturally, and the leather molds around the pistol so that 100% of the pocket forms a snug fit around the gun.  

Aker Leather also includes a molded sight channel to ensure quick and easy deployment and reholstering.  On the outside face of the XR-17, Aker provides an adjustable tension screw that helps form the holster's body to the weapon and serves double duty as a trigger guard stop. The XR-17 also ensures the trigger is entirely covered when the gun is holstered, preventing the possibility of an accidental discharge.

The Flatsider gets its name because it is flat on one side, making it extra comfortable when worn. In addition, the dual-plane muzzle build promotes the use of both standard and shortened size barrels.
