The American Defense enhanced takedown pin kit brings back a feature seen on the original Armalite AR-15 and M16 rifles that has since been lost to the bean counters: Dimpled pins. This minor detail allows for easy centering of a bullet tip or other tool on the pin to prevent slips and scratches to the receiver. With modern materials and finishes, these pins are even better and include the necessary detents and springs for installation.
