Cheap kit
by Michael
I bought this kit for my brother and I was very disappointed with the quality. The roll pins are thin metal that is rolled and looks like a @. Very hard to work with. I didn't bother using the trigger, it still had machine markings on the flat surface near the sear edge. I ended up giving him a Palmetto trigger that I had removed from one of mine after I replaced it with a drop in trigger. I guess when you pay $44, you shouldn't expect much...
Anderson LPK: consistently adequate
by CRB -
I have to admit I'm a little surprised to see so many negative reviews; I guess I have always been lucky with Anderson. I've never had a problem with their LPK's. Although I don't use the triggers, hammers, grips, or trigger guards, everything else is fine with quality machining, and consistently adequate finishes. The parts have worn well for me. They are pretty much what I consider the standard. And P.A. is well above the standard when it comes to suppliers.
Stay Away! Out of spec parts.

I purchased 3 of these kits because I have had success in the past. All of the kits had bad parts in them. Bent hammer springs, small diameter pins, and out of spec disconnects. The disconnects had deep tooling grooves and marring across the length, some looked like stress fractures. They were a few thousands too long and prevented the trigger from resetting. Sure you could file down, but you shouldn't have to file brand new parts. I replaced the parts with quality parts and the guns ran flawlessly. Anderson quality control has gone down hill, and resulted bad parts being put on the market.
Trigger won't reset.

I have gotten a couple of these kits this year. The one I just put in the trigger will not reset unless forced forward by hand. I swapped the spring out and dry fired it for 2 hours straight and it seems to be working now. But my wife won't let me live fire in the house so hopefully the rough spots are worn down enough to function.
Good for the price.

Good for a first build. Trigger was disgusting but it can be improved. Everything else is great. Had a couple springs missing from the kit but PA sent em out quick with no charge.

Lower Parts Kits are Excellent
by Daniel
I have purchased about a half dozen of these kits during the last year and completed building the various rifles and pistols. I actually bought separately a couple sets of Anderson stainless steel triggers and hammers to use on a couple of my builds. First, I did not have any missing parts in the kits. I bought some directly from Anderson and others from various dealers. All of the parts fit properly and appeared to be first quality. I have actually suggested to friends that they should buy Anderson lower parts kits and nobody has complained to me about them. Frankly, as I read some of these negative reviews I am somewhat shocked as they do not reflect my experience with multiple Anderson parts kits. I have also purchased other Anderson components, stripped lowers and at least one complete upper. All were excellent. I have test fired all my builds and they appear to work just fine.
Sub par

QA sucks. Hammer had an pin misinstalled from the box. So I have two pins and one I had to hammer out. I don't mind the fact that it's cheap but at least attempt to make it seem like QA is attempted.

Works for me.
by Mike -
I've bought a few of these over the years, I have drawer full of a2 grips to prove it, the only issue I had was like others the reset. In my cases it was caused by a slight bur/bump left on the back of the hammer where the disconnector engages, the bur/bump keeps it from releasing to reset. Couple passes with a hand file fixed it. I would still recommend this kit.
