Fantastic finish

by -

I normally dont write a review based on looks alone but the finish on this Anderson upper is excellent. It actually caught me by surprise.

QC not so great

by -

recently ordered 2 of these on black Friday, one was perfect no marks nice finish but the other has bad tooling marks around the ejection port! almost like when the surface was being machined the tool caught on something causing sharp gouges. I mean for 28 dollars I cant really complain BUT when I receive one that is perfect and another that is not, to me that is just BAD QC.....

Great Budget Upper

by -

It's an upper. It doesn't cost a fortune. Great for budget builds. No fitment issues with any parts I've put on this.

5 stars all the way

by -

Fast shipping, looks great, fits good, great product for the money can't beat it . Square stamped

Nice upper, a little bit of play with certain lowers

by -

Good quality, nice finish. Didn't fit my Aero precision lower as snug as I'd like, but worth the $$. Mine came with a square casting mark.

Perfect Budget Buy

by -

Caught this on sale. Great buy and perfect for the budget build. Fit and finish are no different than my Spike's that cost 2x more. Nothing out of spec. If you are building a beater gun to throw in your truck or building your first ar and don't know exactly what you are doing, this is perfect.
why spend $100+ on something just for a big name brand?

nice upper

by -

fit nice and tight with Anderson lower. no problem installing parts. works as it should

Great buy

by -

Got this with my Anderson lower and fit like a glove. Would buy again!

Vanilla as expected

by -

Receiver was in perfect shape. All parts fit but were extremely tight. Lapping was required to allow functionality. But the guys were not Anderson so I still give it a 5.

Still My Favorite Online Merchant!

Ordered last Sunday and had it before Tuesday afternoon. Always fast service at Primary! Quality products, blazing fast shipping, and great customer service!

Great value

by -

I ordered this with the Anderson stripped lower for my next build. The upper and lower fit together perfectly and the finish seems perfect on both with no noticeable defects. I will update if there are any issues with the build due to these parts

Buyer Beware!!

by

Had to block sand the bottom of the upper to lower it enough to allow the T/D pins to be installed. Then once everything was assembled, the BCG is binding causing the charging lip to dig into the charging handle under the gas port hole. The result, it is now causing the aluminum to wash out, pining the charging handle between the BCG and the "roof" of the upper. Locks up solid as can be. I have swapped out all the parts (BCG, Lower, Upper) with a working AR and everything works flawlessly, except when AA upper is used. I emailed AA to give them a chance to fix the situation. At first, they were quite accommodating and helpful. They gave me a case number and told me they were going to be sending me a shipping label for the return so they could have QC go over them. I have received no shipping label, and after 2 emails telling them this, nothing. Guess I will just have to make door stops out of these things and buy different brands in the future.

ANDERSON MANUFACTURING AR-15 STRIPPED UPPER RECEIVER

by -

This one I got has the square forge mark. lines dont match up very well with the Anderson lower I have, but the ones with the square forge marks line up almost perfectly with my S&W M&P15.

ANDERSON MANUFACTURING AR-15 STRIPPED UPPER RECEIVER

by -

I got one with the keyhole forge markings. Nice fit on a Anderson MFG. lower. lines did not meet up with a S&W M&P15.

3 stars because there was a triangular rock (I would assume a polishing stone) in the inside of the forward assist hole. The anodizing was either warn from it being stuck in there, or the anodizing did not get in where it was stuck and there is a small bare aluminum spot inside the receiver and the forward assist hole. Not a big deal, nor does it impede the functionality of the receiver. But a simple visual inspection would have negated the problem.

Hope it works...

Bought this Anderson upper to mate to my Anderson lower for a first build. My lower has a key hole mark (Cerro Forge) and the upper has a square mark (Brass Aluminum Forging Enterprises). I imagine if both receivers were made at the same forge that they'd mate up better. The upper lines up ever so slightly to the left side (maybe .001-.002") but everything seems ok. Would've rather had a Cerro Forge upper like the picture shows. The finish is slightly smoother on the upper but doesn't give off any 2 tone looks. The threads and finish look pretty clean. Only gave 4 stars because of the alignment.

Horrible

by

I ordered this upper receiver and the upper parts kit from Anderson. The upper parts kit didn't come with a forward assist roll pin. I went to a hardware store and bought a roll pin and when I tied to install it and the top hole wasn't drilled out all the way. Waste of $75 and I will never be buying anything from Anderson again. I love Primary Arms but Anderson just lost my business forever.

Works

by

I used this upper for my first build it is light seems tough cheap. Only had a couple problems so far with feed ramps grabbing the round it does quite match up with the barrels ramps nothing a file can't fix. Other than that I have about 4000 rounds through it runs like a champ!

No reason to buy anything else...

by

...unless you just can't stand a good value! I think I just bought my 5th Anderson upper. All have been perfect. And a big thumbs up for PA and USPS. I bought it on a Friday night at 9pm chose the cheap shipping and it was in my mailbox Monday afternoon! Pretty good for a trip from Texas to Nashville TN!

Top Quality Upper!

by

Have never bought anything Anderson that wasn't of the best quality. You can't go wrong with Anderson!

Great piece at a great price

by

I bought this for my first build. This a great bang for your buck upper. Shipping was super fast. I will most definately be purchasing more of these and other products from P.A.

Anderson Manufacturing Stripped A3 Upper Receiver

by

Upper has a great finish and quality at a good price. Customer service was also top notch when I had to contact them. I will be referring Primary Arms and using them again in the near future.

Great Deal

by

These are Cerro receivers of excellent quality. Fit my lower perfectly and looks great. Thanks for the great customer service.

Great Deal

by

This is a Cerro keyhole quality upper at a great price. No color filled T-marks but no big deal. Color of finish is slightly duller than higher sheen uppers but still very nice. Fit a Black Rain Lower nicely.

Gets the job done!

by

I will start this review off with stating I was a bit disappointed in the finish noticed two blemishes. However I do not build safe queens so I am 100% happy with my purchase especially for the price. No machine marks delivered on time as always Primary Arms and that's a recipe for a return customer.
