Tightened castle nut and end plate stripped out threads of buffer tube. Now I can twist the stock with my hand. If I torque the castle nut down tight enough to stop the stock winds up cock eyed. Notch on end plate has shallow engagement in groove on buffer tube making it likely to strip when torqued down it appears.

Good product. Ungodly fast shipping. Ordered Saturday. Arrived Monday. Holy crap! I'm a big Palmetto State Armory user. This has now changed. Have several more parts ordered and they are already on the way. Will be starting the upper soon. I'll be back.

It came with a different end plate with ears for slings. The part was way out of spec and would not install straight. The gap between tab on end plate and channel in buffer tube threads was so serious that my stock was canted 30 degrees off center.

Missing an end plate

Gave it only 3 stars because the kit was missing the end plate. Thankfully, I had spares in my armoror's kit. Otherwise it was nicely finished and installed without issues.

I ordered this as a replacement and it A) only allows 3 positions, B) Seems shorter than the buffer tube it was replacing, and C) made my Hogue(non-slip/wobble) stock wobble and feel like a toy.
Now I have to buy another...

It’s ok I guess. For the price. The castle nut was too tight and wouldn’t thread into the receiver extension. Luckily I had another that fit. I tried it on another mil spec receiver extension and it fit fine. So it’s the RE, not the castle nut.
