Armor Express Razor Level IIIA Soft Body Armor - Female

The Armor Express Gen2 Razor is lightweight and thin soft body armor designed to maximize concealability. Even though it maximizes concealability, it is still a soft body armor enclosed in a waterproof, ripstop nylon pad cover. 

Despite its thin and lightweight design, the Gen2 Razor can protect against a variety of high-velocity standard handgun and special ballistic threats thanks to its Twaron and Dyneema construction. The result is a highly concealable, durable package that offers a high degree of protection without compromising comfort or discretion.

NIJ Level IIIA is rated to protect against .357 SIG and .44 Magnum. However, Armor Express also tests the Razor against special threats at its Ballistic Research Laboratory (BRL), including 5.7×28mm (27-gr. SS195LF and 40-gr. SS197SR V-Max), 9mm +P+ (Winchester Ranger RA9TA), and a 1-oz. 12-gauge tactical rifled slug (Federal LE127RS). 

This variant of the Razor is cut specifically to accommodate the female form and is slightly thicker and heavier. As part of its more rigorous in-house testing, Armor Express has determined that the V-50 for .357 SIG is 2,020 ft/s and the V-50 for .44 Magnum is 1,830 ft/s. The V-50 limit determines the probability of armor penetration with a specific cartridge load. At these velocities, the projectiles are expected to penetrate the armor 50% of the time.
