The Armor Express Razor Gen 2 is the second generation of Vortex soft ballistic armor, suitable for use as a concealed vest or as overt body armor for patrol or tactical teams.
The second generation of these soft body armor vests employs a combination of Twaron® and Dyneema® ballistic aramid fibers, granting superior protection in a lightweight, low-profile package.
This vest is NIJ 0101.06 Certified Level II body armor, tested and confirmed through the V50 ballistic process to stop 9x19mm 124-grain FMJ at 1822 ft/s (backface deformation of no more than 32.7mm).
NIJ Level II armor is capable of reliably stopping most handgun threats and select special threats, including the following:
