Mediocre

by -

Angle is good, texture is very good, however it moves your entire hand down about 3/8", personally I find that uncomfortable, if that's your preference however you'll probably like it, fit is good, Phillips screw makes install easy, fit over the mounting surface was very tight and needs a bit of persuasion, whether you should get it or not entirely depends on your own personal preferences.

My absolute go-to grip

by -

Magpul has great options, to be sure, and I have a MOE-K on one of my rifles, and a BCM on another. But the B5 is where it's at. Looking at a photo online it really doesn't appear to be a show-stopper. Looks kind of like an MOE and I don't know that B5 has quite the name recognition that other brands do. Believe me, this grip is something special. Perfect geometry, nothing extraneous, and very solid. And not expensive either! Grips are pretty subjective but if you haven't yet found your go-to yet, you should give this one a try. Worth noting: The last one I bought (May 2021) has the same angle, same everything, but they've revised the texture and added a 'panel' of sorts to the front strap and I really like it. Not sure if they've rolled this out to other colors but the black one appears to be the new style.

Best Grip for Me

by -

Compared to A2, Magpul MOE, Hogue, DD, and the Wilson Combat/BCM grip, this is my favorite. Tried pretty much all of the mainstream grips and this is the go to from now on. The DD is too small and no beaver tail, BCM/Wilson Combat beaver tail isn’t big enough, and A2 is awful. Always deflected to the magpul MOE but the angle on the B5 is better and the texture is exactly what I wanted. My only critique is it does not have a cap on the bottom for battery storage unlike most every aftermarket grip. If they ever make a Gen 2 with a cap I’ll switch to that.

LOVE THESE!

I have slowly started switching out all of my grips to these from B5. I love the aggressive texture and the angle of the grip for SBRs or Pistols. 5/5 would recommend it!

Great Grip

I like the angle of this grip. The cat-tongue grip is quite aggressive. For someone with sweaty hands, that feature is quite important. I will be putting this grip on all of my AR's.

B5 vs. BCM and Ruger AR 556 PG.

by

Ok 4 stars because the BCM has a hinged cap, and both the BCM and the Ruger grip has a pinky land which I'm comfortable and used to. Would be nice to have the B5 add that feature. However the slight angle on the B5 feels better. Ordered 2, got 1 and just today got the 2nd. Now the Saint Victor and the Ruger has this upgrade. Thanks Primary Arms for getting my 2nd in quick!! Next stop... getting another PA 3x micro prism Raptor optic. No more swapping.

Lightweight version of the BCM Gunfighter

Having a few BCM grips, this grip physically feel very similar. IMO, way gripper though. No closed storage area, but definitely fits a duty and lightweight category.
