Don't go Cheap

This B.A.M. 16" barrel was needed for my first AR build. Performance and reliability is a must in my book so I saved money by ordering the part myself & did not have to settle for stock.
Soft & On Point
Absolutely love this for a 16in build. Eats anything, shoots noticeably softer than a carbine length gas system and they may as well guarantee 1/2" MOA at 100 with decent ammo. I'm of the opinion that you can't beat these guys for the money and blow many way above this price line away as well. Fit and finish was perfect. All this and it's offered by the place I've learned to always look at first, Primary Arms. Great customer service and fellow enthusiasts. Never anything shy of the best from these guys. Stop thinking and buy it.

This is my third BA barrel for a third rifle upgrade, and it has not let me down. A little break-in period and this barrel is sending them right where I want them.

Put about 12,000 rounds through my old barrel and noticed I had some shots drifting too far
<br>Switched it with the BA 1:7 barrel and it was like night and day. Have put 2000 rounds through it so far and can definitely recommend it

Rock Solid Barrel

You can't go wrong buying any Ballistic Advantage barrel. I have used 3 of these exact barrels on 3 different builds for close friends and family. They all have performed flawlessly matched with a BA gas block. I recently bought a 4th to finally put one on a build for myself. The one and only drawback is simply due to the weight distribution of the govt profile matched with a 15" handguard which should be anticipated, but made all the rifles I built muzzle heavy.

Installed this with a freefloat forarm and quality BCG. Tested headspace, checked the position of the gas hole and checked the position of the feed ramps. All within spec. Bench-tested the barrel using a linear muzzle brake,a 2-stage match trigger and fired home-rolled MK262 ammo (77gr BTHP). fired four 3-shot groups inside MOA @ 100yards and called it a day. Punched the bore out and fired 2 fouling shots before this simple test.
