Chambered in 5.56 NATO, this Ballistic Advantage 10.5” barrel is an excellent option for building a short barrel rifle or even a pistol. This modern series barrel features all the qualities you would want for a short carbine style build. It features a carbine length gas system for optimal reliability with a 1:7 twist rate. The barrel is made from 4150 Chrome Moly Vanadium and has a salt bath Nitride finished inside and out for long-term durability. The government profile is thin behind the gas block shelf to reduce weight but then gets larger to accommodate .750” gas blocks. Threaded 1/2x28, you can easily attach your favorite .223/5.56 muzzle device, whether it is a flash hider or muzzle brake. Ballistic Advantage is my absolute goto barrel. BA is all about quality, accuracy, and at reasonable price. Zero marketing hype.
I mounted this barrel in an Aero Precision M4E1 upper, surrounded by their 12 inch enhanced quad rail, and capped off with a 3 inch KAK flash can. This setup brings the muzzle exactly 1/2 inch past the rail. PERFECT.
I averaging 1 inch groups at 50 meters with my 55gr plinking handloads sighted through a Primary Arms 1x Cyclops. The barrel is more accurate than I am.
Chambering and extraction are flawless after a 200 round breakin.

Awesome barrel for the money. The fit was perfect and the accuracy is better than i need. I will always recommend BA.

I have not installed this part yet, but it looks great. I have it mocked up and it is exactly what I wanted. I need a few more items to complete this build. They will come when the Christmas season passes. This is going to be good, real good.

If you’re on the fence about this barrel, go ahead and hit that purchase button. 1 inch groups or less at 50 yards with 62gr on the initial zero. Outstanding. Plan to always purchase BA from this point forward.

as good as it gets, fitted snug in SanTan upper, and put 10 rounds of 60 gr. Nosler bal. tip in 3/4" at 75 yards

As always Primary Arms shipped it quick, they had it in stock and at a good price, which in this day and age is surprising. My only reason for not giving it 5 stars is that the barrel didn’t come dimpled for gas block.

- It is not dimpled; even though it is more expensive than it's competitors.
