Ballistic Advantage Performance Series 5.56 Hanson AR-15 Barrel w/ Lo Pro Gas Block - 12.3"

So this is my 3rd barrel from Ballistic Advantage and it's excellent. I would not hesitate to purchase another one of these at any time. All of my BA barrels for 556/223 have been very accurate shooters and have taken thousands of rounds without any issue.

This particular barrel was my first Hanson Performance series w/ Lo Pro gas block. I will note that I dimpled the barrel for the gas block set screws and used the pin. The pin was a huge pain to get into the gas block all the way. One consideration for this particular barrel may be to purchase a backup or extra roll pin. The provided roll pin seemed to fall apart near the end and I had to trim it. Other than that, everything went smoothly.

I built an AR pistol with this barrel using a BCM trigger, Geissele bcg, and Daniel Defense fixed irons. Since having completed it, I've put about 200 rounds down the tube and there have been 0 malfunctions. Last weekend I took it to the range to fine tune my zero and shoot some groups. At 100 yards I put up a 3-inch Shoot-N-C target. After getting zero, I shot a 3 shot group where all 3 shots where touching. To my surprise, this was not a fluke. I shot a few more groups and was able to keep about 1-2 MOA with each 5 shot group using only irons. Ammo was a pet load w/ 69 SMK, Lake City Brass, 205MAR primer, and Varget. This barrel is a shooter. I wouldn't hesitate to buy it again.

great quality barrel

Bought this hoping that it was better than 13.9 mid gas that only run with full power loads . Was hoping that a carbine gas system would chunk though under gassed problem but it didn’t.
