Details
The Ballistic Advantage Performance Series of barrels offer a ton of improvements over standard offerings. This 13.9” AR-15 barrel is chambered in 5.56 NATO and features the lightweight Hanson profile. It is made from 4150 Chrome Moly Vanadium steel with a durable and slick QPQ salt bath Nitride finish for long term corrosion resistance while the barrel extension features a Nickel Boron coating. The M4 feed ramps are a high wear point and the harder Nickel Boron will stand up to thousands of rounds rubbing against it. The mid-length low profile gas block comes from the factory pre-installed and pinned for a rock solid and reliable setup. The 1:7 twist rate helps to stabilize heavier rounds especially out of a barrel this short. Threaded 1/2x28 for all your favorite muzzle brakes, so you can launch fireballs down range. High pressure tested, and magnetic particle inspected, this Ballistic Advantage 5.56 barrel is great for building your next carbine.

Great Barrel
by Fred -
Bought this for a pin and weld build and it turned out great. With a 6x LPVO (not the best for accuracy testing) I shot groups of 1.57 moa (AAC 75g BTHP) and 1.71 moa (Frontier 75g BTHP) at 100 yards.
With my suppressor attached I shot groups of .92 moa (Frontier) and 1.16 moa (AAC) at 100 yards. Not sure why they were tighter with the suppressor but 1 moa out of this barrel is pretty good especially given my shooting setup.
The barrel does not feel to be over gassed. For this build I initially installed a Geissele super 42 spring with H1 buffer. The spring was too much (cycling problems) so I replaced it with a regular buffer spring but kept the H1 buffer. It then cycled all of my ammo including the steel and I’ve had zero malfunctions with the 200 rounds I’ve put through it so far.

Very accurate and love the fact the gas block is pinned and has two set screws. I went with a BCM upper and rail with a SOLGW BCG and had a Dead Air flash hider pin and welded to get me to 16.1”. Runs flawlessly and is my favorite rifle build so far.
