The Battle Arms Development Enhanced Modular Magazine Release otherwise known as the BAD EMMR, is designed for use with either the AR-15 or AR-10 platforms. This AR-15 extended mag release is machined out of a block of 7075-T6 billet aluminum and features a three-sided dovetail attachment method that is extremely strong. The extended magazine button finger pad section allows you to more easily release the magazine without breaking your grip. It has an aggressive no-slip texture and can easily be swapped out with different sizes and colors to match your build. This model is medium size, anodized black and the downturned angle ensures that this magazine release will work with anti-rotation trigger pins. Improve the ergonomics of your rifle with the Battle Arms Enhanced Modular Magazine Release.

  • Anodized black
  • Patented dovetail attachment system
  • Improved ergonomics

They got this pretty much perfect.

This is about perfect for a mag release button in my opinion. Bigger than a standard button, but not too big, not much slop between the button and hole in the lower, and the extension piece is dovetailed onto the button. Feels very solid and we'll made.

Simple and effective

It doesn't look like much but it does it's job well. It doesn't tilt or get bound up like some other extended mag releases I've used. It also works well with gloves on.

Not deep enough for AR-10. Probably fine for AR-15.

This will probably work very well on a AR-15. However, on a AR-10 the button is not deep enough and can only catch the minimum of thread leading to a wobbly button that I don't trust not to pop apart on me. If you are looking for parts for an AR-10 keep looking as you find this button not deep enough. To give you an example this button is only about half as deep as my original AR-10 button. But like I said, it will probably be fine on a AR-15, I just don't have one laying around to try it on. I will keep it for when I do an AR-15 build though.
