The Bravo Company Manufacturing BCMGUNFIGHTER Compensator is built for the 21st century gunfighter. Designed for tactical applications to reduce muzzle rise, flash signature, noise, and lateral pressure. Tuned slots and an interior cone offer maximum recoil mitigation, compensation of muzzle-rise, and flash reduction. With much less side blast and noise than typical compensators, this device is perfect for working in teams for CQB. Exterior dimensions are consistent with MIL-SPEC for flash hider mounted suppressors.

Features:
  • 1/2 x 28 thread pitch
  • Nitride finish
  • Crush washer included

Notice from the manufacturer:

“The combustion gasses exiting the muzzle of a rifle are extremely hot, traveling at extreme velocity, and contains not only burning gasses but solid particles of unburnt powder as well as metals from the projectile. Due to the inherent nature of steel, it is nearly impossible to survive unaffected in this environment when directly exposed. The high temperatures begin to make the steel more malleable, which allows solid particles and pressure waves to deform and erode surfaces upon exit.

Due to the new and unique design of the BCM compensators, the user may notice small pits on the interior surfaces of the compensator. This is normal. Most designs do not impede the exit flow very much, while the BCM approach is exactly opposite. These surfaces are specifically designed to operate within the environment found at the muzzle, and are intended to allow significant amounts of deterioration before any loss of performance is seen/felt. These compensators have been tested through many thousands of rounds, and while the wear surfaces may give pause to some users, trust when we say that it's normal.”

Fantastic Compensator for control of any style AR-15 weapon. Web Site was very easy to use, order and update my profile information. Shipping was fast and on time. Great company and fantastic service as it has always been......I know this as I am a repeat customer.

BCM Flash Comp

by

To be honest, I bought this because the Battlecomp was out of stock just about everywhere. But the BCM at least looks pretty cool. As far as function goes, it suppresses flash just as good as a standard A2 birdcage. According to Bravo it offers some compensation as well. Hmm, maybe. If so, it's a rather small improvement- maybe 20% less recoil. At least it's quiet though. Overall, I like it, and it looks good on my 16" AR (which coincidentally has a BCM upper). I'll probably keep it, but I may end up selling it to a buddy sometime in the future and upgrade to the Battlecomp, which has a very obvious reduction in recoil and muzzle climb.

More than What I Expected

I was pleasantly surprised with this compensator/flash hider. I bought this on special, and was pleased with the finish and workmanship. I bought this for used with 20" DMR, muzzle blast was no greater than a A2 flash supressor, recoil reduction on the 20" barrel is modest, but the rise/recoil mitigated enough to keep the target acquired during recoil with 62 grain 5.56, which didn't happen with the A2 version.

One of the BCM biggest advantages is the way it directs gas there's minimal dust kick up from blast. I tried another short combo brake/flash suppressor and the downward blast was enough to abrade the cloth ground cover. The BCM may not be the most efficient brake, but it gets the job done well, in a compact package.

Great quality compensator from BCM and Primary Arms

I purchased this compensator for an 18" DMR style rifle. I had an A2 suppressor on the rifle, but thought I would add this just to see if it made any difference. Well, I can say that it seems to mitigate a bit of recoil, but it (to me) seems to hide the flash a bit better. Being it is a BCM product, I know it will perform well for years and years. I love buying this kind of stuff from Primary Arms, because I know they will have what I need, and have a reasonable price, and really fast shipping.

Don’t recommend at all

I have an earlier comp mod 0 that has impressed me enough to buy another. The most recent one I received was phosphate coated and was not nitrided, and the inner cone machining looked rough and incomplete. It also throws much more flash than their earlier mod 0’s. Not impressed at all. Can’t belive BCM cheaped out. In the process of contacting primary arms to update the description and hopefully return.

Dual purpose

by

I've competed in USPSA and 3gun matches for about 25 years. I've shot or owned most. Compensators compensate and depending on the weight balance of your firearm one will work slightly better than another for the application, but they are all good. Flash hiders all hide pretty good, but the surefire style prongs seem better.
This is a unit attempting to do both. Can it do great at both? Not possible. Can it do a pretty good job of balancing the two? Yes, and it does. One of the better features of this unit is the blast is directed more forward. That can be beneficial in many scenarios. Overall, this, Surefire Warcomp and Vltor VC-1 are best of breed and you can't go wrong with any of these choices. I like this one a lot and use it.
