Bear Creek Arsenal 14.5" 5.56 NATO Govt. Profile 1:7 Carbine 41V50 Barrel - Black Nitride
This high quality Bear Creek Arsenal barrel goes through its entire production life in Sanford, North Carolina at Bear Creek's facilities. Drilling, reaming, rifling, and turning are all accomplished on their CNC machines under ISO-9002 Quality Systems, allowing Bear Creek to put every barrel through a 100% inspection and air gauging process, ensuring every individual barrel is flawless before it leaves their facilities.
This 14.5", 1:7 twist, Government Profile barrel is machined from 41V50 chrome moly vanadium steel, heat treated to RC 28-32 hardness, properly stress relieved with a highly corrosion resistant Salt Bath Nitride finish inside and out. Chambered for 5.56 NATO, BCA expects that it, along with any of their barrels 16" or longer, will hold a 1.000 MOA group at 100 yards when used with appropriate ammo and shooting techniques.

The barrel that I received made proper clearance (had a gunsmith check it when attaching muzzle device).
Decent accuracy for the price so far. It isn't a barrel that seems capable of 1 MOA groups for American Federal 55 grain rounds. So far I have achieved about 2.5 MOA on average between American Federal and PMC Xtac, both off-the-shelf rounds.
I will experiment with other loads to see how this barrel performs. For the price, it shoots.
Questionabe QC at factory.

After installing and checking it against Go/No Go gauges, this thing was WAY off specs. I tried different bolts and to be sure, I even checked against another barrel. I have a replacement on the way and will write a review of that one.
I've read sketchy reviews of BCA barrels before and decided to take a gamble. If the other is bad, I'll not go anywhere near their products again.
