Well made and affordable

For the money you can't beat this mount. It's very sturdy and well made. It isn't a high end LaRue or Badger Ordnance with quick detach throw lever mounts nor is it meant to be. This mount does just what it's supposed to do which is mount positively to a typical AR and hold a zero while being affordable which is does very effectively. Would highly recommend and will likely pickup another one for my next build.
Worth it.

Primary Arms always great prices and fast shipping

I have one mounting a Primary Arms 1-8 acss on my custom built AR, and my son has one mounting a Primary arms 1-4 on his Stag AR.
Rock solid and built like a tank. We both use the picatinny rail top to mount a light for night hunting.
Solid but not Perfect
by MyTMoe
I had few alternatives to this mount which was used to place a Primary Arms SLx LPVO on a Galil ACE Gen 1. This mount just allowed the scope to clear the large rear iron sight. So it fit my needs perfectly only with regards to that issue. At 8.7 oz., this big and solid mount is no lightweight, so keep in mind for your particular AR, there may be lighter and just as stable mounts out there. One of the top rings had a minor paint missing defect in it, nothing to warrant a return, so in light of that I would say the finish is not the best. It comes with a TORX wrench for the scope rings, and the instructions list the torque specs for those as well as the base. There is no tool included for the base, but I used a 1/2” socket to clamp the base down properly as per the included torque specs.
Have several of these

Originally purchased one because it looked like the most rigid design on the market. Use has proven it to be as rigid as I had expected. There are lighter mounts available although I don't view this one as a heavy weight. It will take some considerable marketing to convince me that another mount is just as rigid and many of the big name marketed mounts look like they're deliberately designed to flex. None of the lighter weight options impressed me, and given the price of this part it's going to be hard to beat it.
I have way too many

My favorite mount for ARs and I have it on a few bolt actions as well. Well built.
