The original Case USMC knife was created and designed by several American knife makers to meet the high demands required of it by the United States Marine Corps. The tough 1095 carbon steel can be field sharpened, and the clip-point shape of the blade adds versatility to the knife for different tasks such as meat processing, animal skinning, wood sharpening and precision cutting. A leather handle well-constructed from smaller leather discs that enhance grip and the knifes overall durability under tough conditions. Each disc is stacked around the tang of the knife and fixed to the handle under great pressure.
