CMMG AR-15 Lower Parts Kit - No Grip/FCG

This is the perfect kit that fits my needs. I had the parts that are not included in this kit already from another build and this kit perfect my my next build.

A decent kit of the money, but I had to go and buy another safety detent as the one in the kit was over-sized and did not fit.

All of the parts fit well except for the safety selector. It seemed to be out of spec. Contacted CMMG to let them know the problem and they sent out 2 additional ones to see if they would fit. Both of the additional ones worked but quality control should have prevented the problem from the start.

Good kit. Mine was missing the roll pin for the bolt catch though that is the only reason I am giving it four stars.

The parts come in packaging that doesn't allow them to miss parts. They are all labeled which helps when assembling your lower. My one gripe was that the safety selector was not in spec. It was bent in to where when flipped to fire it would catch the small lip on the lower receiver resulting in anodization coming off. Now I have a small silver spot right by the safety selector. I tried to bend it out but it broke. Ended up buying a safety selector from dpms which fit great.

I was pleasantly surprised with the quality of this kit. With the price point I didn’t have unreasonably high hopes, but after installation I found that all of the parts were seemingly perfectly in spec, and all the fit and finish looked perfectly fine. I was especially pleased with the bolt catch roll pin, of all things, which while not in any way loose, was also not nearly as big of a pain in the ass to install as most. My build is not finished yet so there are no rounds through this kit as of my writing this, but if you see no update to this review then I have nothing negative to report. I would buy again for sure.

Very nice kit. Everything is laid out nicely and labeled. Probably will order another one or two kits to have on hand. The fact they're on a card and not loose in a bag is very nice. All the pieces installed without issue too.

The safety selector is also indexed on the right side so if your lower is marked on both side as to whether or not it's in safe, you can see that from glancing on the right side too.

Our window to have AR parts and build them will close soon, best to have a few of these around.
