CMMG AR-15 Lower Parts Kit - No Grip/FCG

I don’t know if I got a bad batch but my safety selector was way out of spec. I tried it in three different lowers including Noveske, Aero, and Anderson. Zero luck in any of them. Thank god I had an extra safety selector laying around. 4 out of 5 stars just because this is my first mishap with CMMG.

Parts kit is good except for a cheap finish on the magazine release button and the safety selector is out of spec by .10mm, scratched the finish on my lower.

I've done a few builds with the CMMG Lower Parts Kit. In the past these have been reliable, but lately the selector switches are way out of spec, and won't fit in the receivers. And in a couple of them the takedown detent springs are slightly too long.

4th set. All the parts are within specs, good finish. The layout of the package is very nice in that you can verify all parts are present at the first glance. I will continue to buy this set.

Everything fit and functioned as expected except the safety selector. Even after using proper lubrication and giving it time to break in the safety doesn't operate smoothly. It's rather annoying and I'll wind up changing it. Great price, especially when it's on sale but I would suggest picking a different kit.

This has become my favorite lower build kit. I have tried an Aero kit on my recent Aero lowers and it isn't the same quality as the CMMG. The only thing that the Aero kit had over this one.. The little rear screw to hold the rear takedown spring and pin in place. If the CMMG had that feature, it would be absolutely perfect.

It worked but I'll be looking for better in the future. The magazine latch holds a magazine but wouldn't lock onto the armorers block I have. I compared it to a bushmaster lower and the magazine catch is undersized in the CMMG compared to bushmaster. The takedown pins are not flat on the ends. Roll pin for trigger guard and the trigger guard are not included.

I purchased two of these LPKs and did not experience any problems with the safety selectors. I like the way the parts are separated in the blister pack. When you open the blister pack make sure it's face down, so the parts stay in their places.
