You're rolling the dice with these.

The quality of these seem to have gone down hill considerably. One of the two I ordered came with no staking done what so ever on the gas key. Now how did that pass QC? If they even have such a thing. Makes me wonder about the rest of the BCG!

From PA: Fail Zero did have some poorly staked BCGs make it into our inventory. They immediately flew someone to our location who reviewed and properly staked all our inventory. If you are having problems with your BCG please contact us right away so we can remedy.

Buyer beware. Thoroughly inspect before operating

by

One of the two Fail Zero BCG's I ordered had absolutely no staking done to the gas key! I don't know how that managed to pass QC inspection. Makes me wonder what else they failed to do a QC check on. My trust in this BCG is none existent after this.

Massive Fail.. I would give it a negative score if I could

Massive Fail. I ordered 2 during the 2016 Black Friday Sale and both were recalled due to improper staking on the gas key screws. Lower screw, right side. Next to no staking. The Failed staking looks exactly like the staking error that was included in the recall email photo that PA sent me.
I will be ordering a different brand like Spikes.
Time will tell how Primary Arms handles this.

Here is part of the email I received from PA:
Dear Primary Arms Customers,
We have learned that some of our inventory of FailZero bolt carriers sold during Black Friday had staking issues. FailZero has asked us to coordinate with them to ensure that no improperly staked bolt carriers remain in our customers’ hands.

FailZero should be called "Failed Too Many times"

Fail Zero sucks, it jammed in the chamber. It was not stake properly and customer service did not understand my complaints. This company sucks

Great product

No fails out of 120 rounds and cleans easy all together a great buy

Great price, shipped fast! Thanks Primary Arms!

Received very quickly, staking of the gas key is done properly. This one is for my next build, a 300 black out. Thought it was nice enough that I bought another stripped carrier for my 6.5 Grendel build. Looks great in my gun. Can't wait to get to the range!

Great BCG, poor assembly.

by

Ordered this guy for my first AR build. Primary arms shipped it quickly. Upon inspection, the machining was excellent and the EXO NiB finish was beautiful. However, the gas key staking was extremely poor. I contacted PA, who put me in touch with FailZero. FZ sent me an RMA with prepaid shipping to return the BCG. They restaked it and shipped it back within a week. I can't give it 5 stars due to the poor assembly, and I haven't shot with it extensively. Yet. Great customer service from Primary Arms and Fail Zero.

It works as intended

by

As a former United States Marine and firearm enthusiast. Weapon maintenance and performance can be affected significantly by its lubrication and the ar-15/m16 platform is significantly affected by this. The fail zero exo coated bcg seems to do a very good job of this. I have not noticed any change in manually operating the charging handle/bcg when the weapon is dirty/clean or dry. It still feels very smooth operating and when lubricated it feels friction less. Cleaning is alot quicker then your standard magnesium phosphate and easy because carbon build up stands out against the nickel boron coating.

Great product & Great company!!!

I have 8 of these BCG's. Yes, they did have a staking issue and promptly notified and remedied the problem. In my humble opinion, you should personally look over every item that you purchase as you are responsible for the safety of your rifle. I have fired several thousand rounds using FailZero's and have not had ANY issues with them. I have also worked directly with them in the past and have had top notch service every time. Don't shy away due to a few unfavorable reviews.

Very Impressed

by

I bought the BCG after hearing mixed reviews about Fail Zero with big hopes. Primary Arms was having a sale on them and it seemed like a great price for a non-flashy Ni-B BCG. Straight out of the box I liked the feel and look of it. Very attractive even finish. Very smooth surface with no blemishes. So since I was still piecing together one gun I figured I could drop it into my Colt and give it a shot--- literally. I put out a target and in less that 10 minutes I dumped 330 rounds down range. I put the carrier in dry with a dry upper and not one time did it fail slow down or get jammed by any means. I pulled it out trashed with carbon and gave it a clean. It looked brand new again. So I found the BCG to go above expectations and will probably buy another in the future.
