The Flir Scion PTM 366 with a 640x480 image display unit features a 60 hertz refresh rate and a 25mm germanium lens, which allows the user to identify heat signatures at greater distances and clarifies the image on the image processing unit more easily thanks to the larger objective lens. In the case of the PTM series of monoculars; these are the law enforcement specific lineup of handheld monocular devices utilizing Flir’s market-leading thermal imaging technology stack. Utilizing a 640x512 detector type in harmony with a 25mm germanium lens, allows the user to detect a human size target at ranges greater than 1,000 meters. The expectation of more than four hours of usage on a single load of 6 x CR123A 3V lithium batteries provides more than enough surveillance time for most operational standards.

The Flir Scion PTM 366 features an accelerometer, a date/time stamp, a magnetic compass, and you can take still shots while recording as well as having a geotagged and real time clock feature in the heads-up display as the user is using it.
