Details
FN designed the FN 509 9mm handgun to meet the specifications of the Military MHS handgun program. The FN 509 builds off of design of the FNS-C. The FN 509 features a full-sized black polymer frame, serrated steel slide, and a cold hammer forged barrel. Also includes two ten round 9mm steel magazines.
Features:
The FN 509, built from popular platform of the FNS Compact, was made to the intense and exacting specifications of the U.S. Military’s Modular Handgun System (MHS). To meet MHS standards in reliability, durability, and ammunition compatibility, rigorous testing was conducted over many months in the design and production of this firearm. As a result, the product that FN is bringing to market is of the highest quality in those categories, making it an ideal pistol for a long life of service to the user.
In the box, you’ll receive two 10-round, double-stack magazines. This means that the pistol is in compliance with large capacity magazine restrictions in states such as Colorado, California, New York, or the District of Columbia. It also ships with two additional backstraps, which can be added to the grip or removed to provide custom comfort for any size hands. Front and rear slide serrations make it incredibly easy to operate the slide in any conditions, even while wearing gloves.
The fixed, 3-dot sight system on the FN 509 Pistol is luminescent, making low-light situations easier to manage. The addition of a Picatinny rail on the underside of the barrel means you can easily attach your favorite accessories like a flashlight or laser-dot sight. All operation controls are ambidextrous, allowing the operator to lock the slide or release a magazine with either hand
