The FN FNX-45 Tactical is a hammer-fired semiautomatic, short recoil-operated pistol chambered in .45 ACP. The FNX-45 Tactical is modeled after the FNP-45, FN’s service pistol submitted to the U.S. Joint Combat Pistol Program in 2007. Featuring a stainless steel, cold hammer-forged barrel, the FNX Tactical was built to last and can fire thousands of rounds before needing a replacement. What sets the FNX-45 Tactical apart from the base model FNX-45 is the threaded muzzle that can readily accept suppressors, compensators, or other aftermarket accessories. Suppressor-height tritium night sights (rear yellow/front green) along with a Vortex Viper 6 MOA red dot sight are included with this model.The tactical version also comes with two 15-round extended magazines. The stainless-steel slide can accept multiple types of optics with two mounting plates included with each pistol. This FN firearm is equipped with various ambidextrous controls such as the magazine release, safety/decocking lever, and a slide stop release lever. Interchangeable backstraps with lanyard eyelets are included to provide ergonomic customization to the user and accommodate left and right-handed shooters.
